How do you draw your characters or any other characters from different media hands?

I always do mine with 4 fingers, but i see some with 5 fingers instead????

I feel so immature for this, but like, my little brother is gonna watch FNAF 2 with friends, and I lwk feel sad abt it since I wanted to watch it with him whenever we can, since we watched FNAF 1 together
