The Heisman finalists have been announced. The winner will be announced on December 13, 2025. The winner will be crowned as the best player for the 2025-2026 college football season. Finalists are below.

Notre Dame has signed a Memorial of Understanding contract, stating that if they are ranked in the top 12 in the final CFP poll next year, no matter the situation, they will get into the playoffs. If it happened this year, Miami would be eliminated.

Notre Dame will be withdrawing their team from playing in a bowl game this season due to missing the playoffs, as they believe they were snubbed.

South Florida has hired former Ohio State Offensive Coordinator Brian Hartline to be their next head coach. He will still coach in the Big 10 Championship and College Football Playoff. Ohio State plays Indiana December 6th for the conference championship.

Former Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield has been hired by Arkansas to be their next head coach. He will not be coaching Memphis in their bowl game. More below.

Michigan State has fired head coach Johnathan Smith after leading them to a 4-8 record this year, as well as having 14 wins vacated from the 2022-2024 seasons. More below.

Former James Madison head coach Bob Chesney has been hired by UCLA to be the new head coach. UCLA has allowed him to coach James Madison in the College Football Playoffs if they qualify. They play Troy in the Sun Belt Conference Championship. More below.

Kentucky has fired former head coach Mark Stoops. They will be looking for a new head coach. More below.

Auburn has hired former South Florida head coach Alex Golesh to be their new head coach. Golesh will not be coaching South Florida in their bowl game. More below.
