Lore
So basically, Robotnik somehow found out that the master emerald can create another super emerald that can be stronger, if the master emerald has enough energy to create it.
Robotnik first wanted for informations about that, and he need those fake super emeralds that have the same energy than the chaos emeralds.
So, when knucles was busy doing something, metal sonic was sent by Robotnik to steal a fake super emerald if needed.
Knucles didn't know why they were dissapering, and started searching them.
When Robotnik got enough informations, he has gone with metal to steal the matser emerald.
Then, when he's back to his base with it, he'll charge it but it'll take 5 days.
So you'll play as Sonic, Tails and Knucles to stop Robotnik from creating another master emerald, will you win?
