The Dreadful Shifts at Vinny's series is a complete remake of the Five Nights at Vinny's R and Original series, originally released in 2022 and 2020 respectively. Essentially, a remake of a remake.

It is 2031, a year after the sudden, tragic deaths of the original owner as well as several of his friends and family. After a year of being closed down, V&A Arcade and Diner has finally been reopened with brand new animatronics.

You are Ember, a bitter woman who tends to get into a lot of trouble, and after several incidents that heavily involved you, this job is the only one you are able to apply for. Who cares about the bloodthirsty and extremely aggressive animatronics that are after you, you've dealt with this kind of stuff before, anything dangerous is the same for Ember.

Q: Why are you remaking these games?

A: Five Nights at Vinny's was a dream I've been wanting to create since 2016, and around 2018 I found Scratch and I started making quite a LOT of Five Nights at Vinny's games. As time went on I got better and better, and now I want to use the years I've spent to use Scratch to its limits, and make my dream game the best it could ever be.

Q: Who were the original nightguards from the older games?

A: The original nightguard from Five Nights at Vinny's 2020 was.. for some reason Beast Boy from the Teen Titans. Realistically Beast Boy could beat the shit out of the entire cast, I was still a young kid at the time so that could be justified.

The Nightguard from Five Nights at Vinny's R was Flower from BFDI, who ended up being a major inspiration for an original character for Dreadful Shifts at Vinny's, that being Ember.
