What do you think?

The anime-style art fits really well with the aesthetic of the game and the music fits. An instruction of the controls would go a long way and the dying condition wasn't explained so it was hard to figure out the reason I was dying. The tile could be made more clearly as well as it was confusing as to how far my character was moving exactly. More stages would be nice, but overall the game is really interesting. Definitely looking forward to an update !

Impressive, considering this is made by a small group of students. The game is still in a very alpha version from what I've heard. So there is still some bugs in both graphics and gameplay, I can walk on the table (what a manner), the right click isn't really a flashlight drop though, its a magical light drop XD, the bgm isn't repetitive; it stops after a long while. The models and video looks all fine and cute to me, the ghosts are not spooky, which is good for someone who's afraid of ghosts like me. The game is great, just need a little bit more development. Keep up the good work! Waiting for the final version of it.

I quite love the characters, sound and animation. Characters is very adorable and sound effect is very good. But I very confuse about gameplay at first, but I try to play again and then I understand. I have a little bit suggestion in control, I think it may be better if we can control a character by WASD or ^v<>. I just play 3 stage and got confuse about stage 4. SCORE 7/10

Great game with very fun puzzle need to fix a bit about control it's feel pretty weird about the flashlight, Also the following ghost is a bit too hard for my little brain and sometime stuck in the corner of the room. The art is very pretty especially the girl, She is too adorable she should slap the ghost with her flashlight instant of flash at it, 8/10 IGN

The game is very challenging it fun and game very smooth but they're some bug in level 1-2 that you can't pick up keys and control is little hard to move.

FEEDBACK AND COMMENTS ARE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!

Boom! Crash!

Lily jolts awake to the sound of thunder. It's been raining outside. She reaches over to her bedside and finds her alarm clock.

3 AM.

Lily now realizes she needs to go to the bathroom. Not wanting to wake her parents up, she grabs her flashlight and starts to make her way over.

On the way though, Lily starts to feel a bit scared. She's not good with dark places, and her small flashlight isn't really helping that much.

"I'll be fine!" Lily thinks to herself. "I'm a big girl now. Papa even told me so just the other day when I ate all my bell peppers."

Just as when she finally starts to convince herself this though, the corner of her eye catches something weird.

Something that shouldn't be there.

"..."

"It's fine...."

"Gh-ghosts.... aren't r-real..."

"..."

"Well, h-here goes nothing!"

Lily turns around.

To only find her dad's jacket hanging there.

Lily breathes a sign of relief. "See, I knew it!" she thinks, before continuing on her journey to the bathroom.

"There's no ghosts in this house!"

Yes, there's no ghosts in this house...

...Or are there?

Come find out!

ABOUT THE GAME

No Ghost in This House is a turn-based puzzle game about guiding Lily to her destination safely, before she really believes that there are ghosts in the house.

The player controls Lily by using their mouse to click the tile the player wants Lily to move to, while also trying to avoid the 'ghosts' that Lily 'sees.'

HOW TO PLAY

  • Controls | Action

  • Left Click | Move Character

  • Right Click | Pick Up / Place Flashlight

  • Scroll Wheel Up | Turn On Flashlight

  • Scroll Wheel Down | Turn Off Flashlight

  • The player moves in a tile-based fashion.

  • The player can shine their flashlight onto the ghost, and by doing so, proves that the ghost isn't real.

  • The player can place their flashlight onto the ground. Right click once allows the player to select which tile they want the flashlight to face. Right click again to confirm, or left click to cancel.

  • In order to complete the level, the player must make their way to the door with both the key and flashlight in hand.

THE GHOSTS

These guys don't move, but they sure are observant! They're always watching four directions - front, back, left and right. If you get into their line of sight twice, you're done for!

Be careful with them! While they can only look forward, the moment you show yourself to them, they won't let you escape! They'll follow you to the end of the Earth! Or maybe until the end of the stage. Or until you die. Yeah, one of those.

While these guys can only look in once place at a time, they're always turning around in 4 directions. Plan carefully so you don't get into their line of sight!

These guys follows your flashlight! Better turn it off if you come across them!

These guys copies your every move if possible! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, or so they say, but in this case that probably isn't it.

These guys are similar to the chasing ones, but they check two tiles ahead instead of one! Also, if you get into their line of sight while being directly next to them, you're immediately done for, so be careful!
