Once again I focused too much on the graphics... Next time I'll just use Paint sprites and work more on the variety of gameplay. I guess that this is probably the least fun game I've ever made :P
It's Ikaruga, but without the fun. Visuals are crisp and the controls are nice and tight; overall it's a really nice looking game for only a week. But the gameplay is just not that enjoyable.
Still... bravo, man. Very good work.
So where do I go when the screen is full of bullets... ? Right, nowhere! :)
So I had like 40 lives and just died a lot? Didn't notice that, really ...
Switching phase is nice, but why does this need two buttons ?
Wasn't there a Dreamcast game with similar mechanics ? Looks all japanese to me... :)
That aside, it's a fun game !
Really well made. Loved the animation, but got very repetitive. 3.5/5
I like the way things look, and I found the idea really cool too. The reasoning behind the gameplay elements was very good. But gameplay itself seemed a bit repetitive.
A fast-paced bullet hell shooter made with Game Maker 8.

You play as a spirit called "Aeriid" that oversees the balance between good and evil. Aeriid can switch between two phases, Aero (good) and Siid (evil), to control the powers of good and evil by hitting them with "spirit orbs" of the opposite type.
Eliminate angelic sprites to give more power to the evil side, and demonic sprites to give more power to the good side. Keeping them balanced allows you to get a large amount of score, while giving too much power to either side will cause a Chaotic Being of that type to appear.
Chaotic Beings are gigantic monsters formed from excess power, and are the embodiment of spiritual chaos. Hitting a chaotic being with the opposite type of spirit orbs will cause the balance to gradually return. Once perfect balance is reached, the Chaotic Being dissipates (and you get lots of score).
