What do you think?

Excellent small clone Ikaruga! Really want leaderboard to beat all :)

awesome, cool concept, simple but fun

I enjoyed this game. The minimal style and interesting colour switching mechanic were definite pluses.
I did find a bug in that after I played for awhile (through about 20 waves of enemies) no more enemies were spawned and the controls were frozen but the music kept going. I hope this helps you figure out the problem.

Very nice.

Good, fun game. I found that you can leave the screen by going to far up, so you might want to fix that. A Game Jolt leader board and some more trophies, like reaching above a certain score, may also be a nice addition. I really like this game, good work.

There is no formal "help" screen at the moment.

Controls

Move - Left, Right, Up, Down

Shoot - Z, Space

Toggle Ship Color - X, C

Concept

Your ship can be one of two colors at any given time: black or white. The color of the bullets it shoots will match the color of the ship's current color.

The enemies encountered in the game can be one of two colors: black or white. If they are black, they will die only to a white bullet and vise versa. Certain (Dual-Coloured) enemies will be half black and half white at the same time; your ship must shoot this type of enemy with a bullet of each color to destroy it.

Enemies

Spinner - Shoots the player at random intervals.

Vista - Dual-Coloured. No special behavior.

Sploder - Explodes after an elapsed period of time, sending bullets in all directions.

What's new in Version 0.3.5?

Added score text for destroyed enemies.

Gave the Sploder enemy its own sprite.

The Spinner enemy now shoots at the player.

What to expect in a future (possibly the next) update?

More enemy types (Maybe)?

A TRUE endless gamemode (one in which the sequential waves progressively increase in difficulty).

Note: This game is a WIP (Work In Progresss). See news feed for more info.

Debugging

I will be debugging my implementation of the GameJolt API. In order to do this the game will have to stay public, so expect the debug console to be open for now.

First in-dev release

Binary Fusion is currently in development. Many features still need to be implemented and many of the graphics are not yet what they will be when the game is completed. But this is the first release! Woot!
