Onslaught Resurrected

Onslaught Resurrected is the final version of Onslaught : Extreme Combat Reborn. Like Extreme Combat reborn, it tells the story of cyborg mercenary "bastard" while he tries to stop the mad cult known as the cult of the serpent church, from destroying cities , that all have become post apocalyptic wastelands.
The cult is using cyborg soldiers, mechs, mutations, and even summoned hellspawn in an attempt to kill off humanity.

Based on the gaming idea thought up by 1995 by Me "Blackplague222" and my best friend "hitman213", Onslaught resurrected is a standalone zdoom engine game... It is a fast paced slaughtermap shooter with brutally hard gameplay that requires fast paced combat skills to do anything.... It is somwhat similar to doom 2016 or Eternal minus Platforming (which I hate anyway, so that's not in it)...

In onslaught you can get up to 30 really OP guns and have to fight hordes of cult soldiers and mutants and can use cyborg powers to survive, such as the ability to cloak, or the ability to emit a forcefield... Cyborg powers can be bound to keys under options... It's important you do so... They help you survive way easier as you take lots of damage in this game compared to Doom 2. As you kill enemies, Bastard (who is a metalhead) says hilarious one liners, all done in a metal theme.

The game is a metal game, and has black metal for a soundtrack... The character is a metalhead. And throughout the game, he will say a lot of crap attacking non metal music, and idiots online. It's hilarious.

Version 2.0.0 of Onslaught resurrected adds in Dynamic lighting effects to the game, to make it do dynamic point lighting, colored point lighting, fog effects, bloom and colored sectors... It can make the game way more messed up with these changes...

Installation/running instructions:

unzip the exe to a new folder called C:\onsre and run ons.bat to play. DO NOT run lzdoom.exe it won't run if you do that.

Offensive one liner packs:

in a run box type C:\onsre\ons.bat onsovo1.wad to run the first offensive one liner pack... Substitute the the number of the voice pack for the number in onsovo1.wad to play with it.

Scary lighting settings:

change the following settings to make the game look scarier, and more atmospheric. This requires a monster system to run so don't do it unless you have a GREAT video card and processor...

Demos...

Type ~ to load the console. Then type playdemo ons01.lmp to play a demo of onslaught level 1. Substitute a number of the level from 1-30 to play that in the place of the number ons01.lmp
