WOW! This game is awesome! I have rarely played a game like this. The music is also on point.

;)

I did a video of this interesting game here. :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuVjPYZIrT8

hi, this looks like a cool game, and i want to try it out, but when I try to play it, it just gets stuck on a loading models window, and nothing happens.
is there a fix?
thanks :)

Good evening, dear Malloc!

Thank you again for linking my Let's Play here on Gamejolt, I am honored.

As promised, I want to give a little "official" feedback here on the site.

Overall Experience:
The game is simple. Very simple. And that is what makes it great. You can only walk and jump and that is more than enough. In the first few levels you think that it is too easy, but it gradually gets more difficult over time. To design it like an advent calendar with 24 doors is a great idea too. Last but not least, the music in the background is plain awesome. I love it that you chose some German christmas songs as well and not only English ones. The music makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable.

Recommendations:

1.) Restart Button
For a level to be finished it is unimportant to collect all the presents. But there are perfectionists (like me) who have the irresistable urge to do collect all of them. As the game has a few paths that get unavailable if you go the wrong way first, a "Restart" button in the menu would be great. Otherwise one has to quit to the main menu and start the level manually again, which is not the best way to solve this.
I would actually suggest that you keep the level design that way. It makes the game a little more challenging as you have to think before you act.

2.) Gameplay Settings
I think it would be better to switch the "A" and "D" keys to make Santa do a sidestep instead of turning the camera left or right. I think that would make the controls a little easier.
Furthermore, I would recommend to activate the vertical scrolling of the camera via mouse movement right away. I find it to be a little annoying if I can only turn the camera to the left and to the right. Up and down makes it easier to watch your step.

3.) Graphics Overhaul (pro forma)
Of course you could improve the graphics to photo realism and such, but it is not necessary. This is just to have it mentioned and so that the list is complete.
BUT (!) I am afraid that you will have to do a little more optimisation on the Anti-Aliasing. My machine is really not slow but I can only record the ingame footage if the Anti-Aliasing is deactivated. I am sure you can work this out, I just wanted to let you know.

So that's it for my feedback. My recommendations are only minor "issues" and no bugs at all. They are just something that would be nice to have.

If you plan future updates or the development of new games, please do not hesitate to contact me as a alpha or beta tester. I would also love to play new games that you created.

Best regards
Chaoticer

Attention!

If the game appears incredible slow or laggy, try lowering the Anti-Aliasing. You can find it in the video settings.
