The fact that one of the team members from the original game had to call you out makes me want to show zero support for this game.
I get that you're probably young and wanting to learn game development and the easiest way to do that is use pre-made assets.
But this game is in extremely poor taste. You are remaking a game that a full team worked on together and cancelled and didn't even give proper credit to the original team until you were called out.
Saying "Oh I forgot to give credit" is not an excuse. This is not the proper route to learn game development, this is straight up theft.
You also didn't even give proper credit to ALL the team members, you just wrote at the VERY BOTTOM of the game page that the assets are from The Rat Cave.
You took all the different images, made them your own teasers, reused some of the same teasers, reused the same sounds and renamed the music.
You managed to get the original development team of The Rat Cave to comment on your game page and call you out.
It's clear that you are very new to this line of work and I highly recommend you stop this game's development and delete the game page. This will cause you to be shown under a very bad light and give you a terrible reputation from other developers.
If you continue making this game then you're just stupid at this point. Nothing pisses me off more than people like this thinking they can make a successful game by taking advantage of a game that JUST CANCELLED and remaking it to gain the attention of those that want to play the original.
