Ps: will you post the source of the game some day ? It might be interesting, and I could help :)
Hey; As I see, you're a gl dev too; really nice game :) It might be worth to support gl 3.x (you're not using tesselation, are you ?) or vulkan.
cheers !
What even is this game?!
uhm, its not working for me, when i open it it opens two applications somehow, one is cmd and says "initialized 4.0 gl context" and the other one opens the what i presume to be the start? it has your (if your the owner) profile pic and says "strange black abstractor" and then proceeds to crash... is there anything im doing wrong? i have a windows 7 btw

Yamikari - 1v1 online game
- Presentation : Video -
Yamikari is an online (and local) 1v1 versus game, with the bare minimum of button, a hit, a dash and a parry button (and a "drop" button), to keep the game open to new player, fast to learn, but still have a high skill cap. One particularity is that you cant move except by dashing, making movement pretty fast and quite disorienting at first, but that's also what makes it (i hope) fun.
- Control -
You can play with a GamePad, or with mouse/keyboard :
GamePad controller (you can map the input) :
dash : choose a direction with the [joystick] then [dash] button
hit : [hit] button
parry : [parry] button
drop : [drop] button
Mouse/Keyboard :
dash : left click
hit : [space] key
parry : [H] key
drop : right click
Misc :
afk check : at the end of a round, both player have to keep the [dash] pressed to show they are ready
quit the game : [ESC] keyboard key

I tried to keep the game as open as possible, so people can have fun modifying or creating assets (textures, sounds, maps, shaders).
Anyone can host their own server, allowing them to choose which maps will be available to play on, would it be official maps (that are in the packaged game), edited or created maps (right now the only way to create maps is with a text editor, but the syntax is quite simple, I'll eventually work on a map editor). You can share your created maps with everyone in here, or by contacting me in any way, and if you want to, i could add it to the official package and servers.
I'd love some feedback, any remark, suggestion, or bug report, and please share anything you did with the game.
But most of all : have fun, cheer !
