Game
Zk13 Attack!

0.2.0

So I have finally got around to finishing up the second level for ZK13 Attack. It’s a bit of a bittersweet moment for me actually. I am super happy to have finally finished the damn thing, but unfortunately its been 6 months since I have made actual progress on the project. At the going rate, I should be done with the whole game in about 3 years….which sounds ridiculous. So basically I need to get my act together or else face the fact that the game will probably never be finished. Enough talking about my self pity and now on to the new content for the game.

The second level is playable from start to finish! The level and the boss are pretty much 100% done, but after some play testing there will probably be some balance changes to the overall level. Some bugs were fixed along the way as well, but are mostly undocumented.

A few things that I need to work on in future releases are pacing and music. My art has improved a bit since the game started, but I still suck at making music. The music for level 2 sounds a bit off. It sorta sounds like the level for a scary mansion or something instead of one that is ice themed. But, since I really have no desire to change it right now, it will be staying put for a while. Then, as tated earlier, I really need to work on my pacing for the creation of this game. I guess I really just had a mental block when it came to designing a boss for level 2. This block just really made me stop making the game altogether. In order to remedy this, I am going to try to balance what I work on in the future. If I ever get stuck on something like that again, I’ll just move on to something less draining to work on instead. So that’s enough of my rambling, please play my newest build and tell me what you think!

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
