1.2 Changes


Heya, so I was asked about the changes the v1.2 update will bring for TNAR.


Widescreen

  • The game's resolution will be changed from 640x480, rendered at 960x720 to 853x480, rendered at 1280x720

GameJolt API improvements

  • GameJolt stuff was a little iffy before, but it's been touched up to be a bit more stable.

  • You can now earn trophies without being signed into GameJolt, once you sign in, all trophies you earned will be synced to your GameJolt account

  • There is now a way to view the achievements you've earned in-game from the title menu

Animatronic AI improvements

  • Animatronic movement roll times have been increased, to make the earlier nights a little faster, and to make the later nights more of a challenge

  • CESA's behavior in The Final Night and Custom Night has been adjusted to be a bit fairer. He appears a lot less common now, but still enough to be a nuisance.

  • CESA's reaction time has been buffed, giving you less time to react by changing cameras, closing the panel, or now switching between service modes

Graphical Changes

  • Added a Jumpscare for CESA

  • Made the animatronic terminal icons red during The Final Night unless they're deactivated

  • Added a Panel open and close animation

  • Redrew most of CESA's sprites to use a slightly new design.

  • Redrew Skye's Supply Closet Position (I hated it)

  • Redrew Ring's Jumpscare to not have huge pupils

  • Redrew Old Ring's Party Hall Position

Misc. Things

  • Added a sequence where Wither would fall out of the Entrance Hall ceiling vent after sabotaging the boiler

  • Updated Phone Calls for Nights 1-6 and Final Night

  • Added a Five Nights at Sonic's Remastered easter egg.

  • Made the "Shadow Blue" Easter Egg rarer

Bugs I squished

  • Fixed a bug where you could click on the Maintainance Mode options through CESA on Final and Custom Night

  • Fixed a bunch of layering issues regarding positions

  • Fixed a rare bug where you could go to Night 0 when selecting New Game (thanks to Dwane-a-matronic for finding the bug)

  • Fixed a bug where sometimes the auto-login would crash the game.

  • Fixed the buggy Discord Rich Presence, by completely removing it.

Chapter 2 Cutscene Preview?

The game's been renamed from SonicBall to CloneBall.

My friends thought it was a better name, and I agree.
