When you have modded your 3DS, go to setting then to Internet Settings

Then go to Spotpass

Then go to Sedning of Usage Information

Then turn it off

This will prevent info from going from you're 3DS to Nintendo, therefore preventing a potential risk of getting your 3DS blocked. But still be careful.
