3K Follower Special: A Peak into OL


Hey Y'all!

As you can tell I'm in a good mood! Just this morning I took a look on my phone and for the first time in a while I was in shock, The brand for my favorite game was on sale! Oh, and the game reached 3k followers too I guess.

For real, I just wanted to thank everyone who has been following the game page for these few years now as well welcome new followers!

As a thank you I wanted to show off some new and exciting things coming to OL! Originally, thought about doing a QnA but I have something similar planned sometime this month, just you wait.


The way I wanted to show off what's coming is in 2 parts: non-spoiler, and spoiler. Just for those who want to be kept surprised until launch.


NON-SPOILER PART:

For non-spoiler I'll be talking about things that I've either said before, or things I don't think are too important/suppressing.

- LORE:

I think I've stated this before, but if you haven't heard I'll say it again: The lore of Original Location is COMPELTELY separate from the FNaF lore. This is due to my disinterest for the lore, I wasn't the biggest fan of all the sci-fi elements and how vague the reasonings were.

Also wanted to mentioned how you would acquire this new lore and how different it is to FNaF's. The way you obtain this lore is passively, and optional. Meaning that if you don't much care for the lore in games and just want to play then don't worry because you won't have to stop playing to read. And this new lore will be very direct. Meaning that you won't have to think much or theorize every events or reasoning, though you do have to theorize just a little.

My goal for the lore in this game is it interesting to read and theorize about, but hopefully not frustrating to figure out or understand

- MECHANICS (BRIEF):

I'll keep this part brief as I want to let people more what to expect but also keep a most of the secrets to myself.

To start off, this game's mechanics are gonna be simple. Think of it as similar to fnaf 1 mechanics: doors, and cameras. I wanted to keep these kind of mechanics as I felt they are what defines a fnaf game. But not to say that's how the whole game will play, that is not at all what I'm saying.

I feel like I can't talk about mechanics as much without giving too much away so I'll sum it up with this sentence...

My goal in terms of gameplay is to make every night unique.

I'm sure you've heard this before but I personally believe that with what I have planned this game is capable of achieving that goal, but I'll let you be the judge of that.


SPOILER PART:

These are things that I'm really excited to share and tease...

- SKINS:

If you have seen the ending of the Tannerland (Reuploaded) then you know that Original Location is introducing skins for The Original!

Here are a few examples of skins:

I also want to mention, because I'm sure people will ask this, "Will other characters like the Maimed get skins?" And the answer, unfortunately, no. The only reason this character in particular is because they have the least amount of animations and frames to re-render.

And for those concern about optimization do not worry. I've made it so that clickteam doesn't have to render the whole room + character but instead only the character itself.

- COLLECTABLES/ACHIEVEMENTS:

Progression is A huge factor in the game's enjoyment. Along with skins you can also earn collectables!

Collectables are the game's achievements: complete a night or do a certain task will reward you with collectable. Collectables can range from toys, trophies, random objects, and more. When you earn a collectable it will appear on your desk similar to plushies from FNaF2.

No new assets have been made for collectable as of this moment.


- CONCLUSION:

I just wanted to say thanks again for 3k followers! I would have never thought I would reach these many followers. By the time the game comes out I hope it would have been worth the wait.
