Sonic Expo 2013

The Sonic Expo 2013 was held, and people were making their rom hack and fangames to be posted into Sonic Retro, one such user made a pretty short game entitled: “Sonic The Hedgehog: USB Edition” (Or Sonic 1: USB Edition). During this time the user was doing a giveaway for a limited edition “Blue Flash Drive” version, if u give him ur email.

Tho this fan game was simple on the surface, deep below it contain a payload that, while “not” consider a virus, is pretty strong, flashing lights occur 2 times and afterwards the desktop wallpaper changed. he was kicked out afterwards because of it. and people were smart enough to not join the giveaway because I’ll had a virus anyways, only 3 stays.

Afterwards, on the 10/11/13, the giveaway ended with a user who won, once he play it and finished the short game, he died, he give it to a friend of his, who also play it. He didn’t died and was just as traumatic as it is.
