I'm sorry that I never post any devlogs here. I usually only post stuff on my Discord. But here's a bulk update.

The game is now in a playable state. The office, the cameras, and the server integration, have all been done for a while now. Since then, I've been fully focused on "Animatronic Mode."

The different between "Five Nights Together" and existing FNaF Multiplayer Games

In all FNaF multiplayer games, the animatronic gameplay is more than flawed. It's always repetitive and sometimes boring. Such flaws include:

  • Forcing the animatronics to follow a certain path

  • Leaving no room for animatronic strategy and forcing them to do the same thing over and over

  • So many rooms to see and everyone goes straight to the office (because why wouldn't you)

  • SUPPORT ANIMATRONICS. I just hate how unfun those are. You get to do nothing but cause useless distractions.

  • And finally, with all these limitations, gameplay is super repetitive and expectable for the guard. This is a horrible recipe for a horror game.

So I present solutions!

The Death Coin

It's back! But way different. A coin will spawn randomly anywhere on the map. Before an animatronic can attack the guard, they have to find this coin.

What will that do? Well, no longer is gameplay repetitive for either the animatronics or the guard. In fact, the guard will never know when an animatronic is coming for them, or just looking for the coin.
Hopefully, this will create a nerve-racking experience of uncertainty.

This also removes the need for the animatronics to be PAINFULLY slow.

Distraction Abilities

Every animatronic will head for the doors, but they will all each have a unique distraction ability. No need for boring supports. EVERYONE is a support.

These abilities are designed to cause chaos for the guard, while also allowing a bit of strategy and teamwork for the animatronics.

I will not reveal any of the abilities JUST yet, as I don't want anyone to be conjuring strategies so soon. Because I myself already have a ton.

However, it is nearly time for me to begin coding these abilities. And as I finish each one, I will reveal a teaser that hints what each ability is. Look out for those!

Fun fact: when I released the Puppet update, there was a gap here on the locator map. That's because Springtrap was always planned to come first. Just ended up changing my mind!
