Well, when i planned to make undertale animations with Mark, I've added some lore to him, now I'll tell you part of this.
1) Mark's soul color needed to be brown, the Confidence
2) Mark and Sans, as i decided, needed to be good friends (when pacifist route)
3) Mark fell underground because he was filming an video on his phone, didn't noticed the pit while walking backwards, and fell there.
