also i'm not some sort of "no fun allowed" person cus the holorifle is very dubious in ways of how it could function but it's one of my favourite energy weapons of all time nonetheless

best fallout energy weapons ever in no particular order

- fo4 gauss rifle cus it's the only not shit fo4 energy weapon

-fo3/nv gauss rifle

-fo2 m72 gauss rifle

-fnv plasma caster

-fnv holorifle

-fnv laser rcw

-fo1/2 turbo plasma rifle

-fo1/2 alien blaster

as you can see with the laser and plasma rifles and even the LAER they hold one (1) mfc and the player character loads one (1) mfc into the weapon

yet it still consumes twenty four (24) mfcs from your inventory

and the holorifle is the only energy weapon in fallout that uses micro fusion cells correctly

the player character loads four mfcs into the gun which uses four from your inventory because they're a stand-in for 40mm grenades

although there are some diamonds in the rough... it's okay fo4 handmade rifle and hunting rifle i don't mind that you're left handed for no reason even though the player character is right handed... it's a game wide issue...
