[A Dusty Chrismas Carol] (A Chrismas Carol Re-tell)

[Introduction]

This is a story obviously based off of the nostalga classic 'Chrismas Carol' story, rewritten to my liking with the use of my and my friends' characters. This is not in any way meant to make fun of anyone or anything in any way, this is only made with love and care. This aswell does not affect the Dusty's Pizza Lore in any way.

This is made to make up for being unable to celebrate Chrismas in time. To everyone reading this story, even if you don't celebrate it, Merry Chrismas. And happy new years.

Stay safe out there, and enjoy this tale.

[Chapter 1: Bah Humbert]

Our tale begins somewhere within December 1843, in a small town of England. It was a snowy night. The Blizzard wind blowing and the snow falling. Covering roofs, windows, and the many outdoor objects.

It was a nice night though, many citizens, children, even the mayor were all celebrating the jollyiest time of the year. December was the time of year for Chrismas. Within the town was a very large Tree, a Pine tree. Covered in many decorations. Aswell, a bright yellow star at the very top of the tree. Shining bright in the night.

Many people were arround the tree, singing songs, dancing in cheer. Many, many citizens were celebrating. Except one man.

One man who never celebrated Chrismas. Even ever since he was just a young lad. A old, greedy, selfish man. 'Davidson Robenezer'.

David Robenezer was a old, bald man. One of his eyes covered with a eyepatch. And small peices of face hair, growing on his chinny chin chin.

Deep within the town, was a building. No no no, this wasn't your ordinary building. This was a office. Above the office door, swinging due to the blizzard wind, was a sign. Labeled 'Davidson and Dustrith', The name 'Dustrith' crossed out with a big X.

You may ask, why was 'Dustrith' crossed out with a X? Simple, Dustrith, once a partner of Davidson, had passed away. Back in 1835. Davidson was a lonely man, though not at all times. A employee, was working in the office with Davidson.

The man was a cat, by the name of 'Dustren'. A Purple cat. A dark purple old tattered vest, and small reading glasses.

They both sat on their seprate desks, in their seprate rooms. Davidson in his office, and Dustren in the enterance. They were both writing at their desks. Behind Dustren was a small furnace. Within it a small spark of flame providing heat.

Dustren stood up from his chair, and placed his hands infront of the furnace. Trying to stay heated. Davidson was quite fine, with a burning, sparking, fireplace, to the right of his room. A basket of coal sitting besides it.

It was then Dustren peeked into Davidson's office, "M-May I have one of the peices of coal in that basket, mister Robenezer?" He asked, shivering from head to toe.

"And why should you have one, pussy cat?" He said, not even taking a peek at his face, still writing on his peice of paper.

"I'm freezing Mister Robenezer, you know most of us can't live off the cold breeze, if we did, we'd be frozen popsicles by now!" He said, grabbing onto his shoulders while trying to keep his vest wrapped around him the best he could.

"Hmm... Bah, Fine, you can have just one peice. But don't expect nothing more for the rest of your shift. I need my heat too you know." He said, still not giving him any looks.

Dustren then reached to grab a peice of coal, until suddenly, the building door opened. The blizzard breeze sending some of Davidson and Dustren's paperwork flying. One of Davidson's papers slipping threw the furnace cracks and igniting the fire.

"Bah!" Davidson blurted, standing up in surprise and anger. "Who goes there! Rotten beagle, messed up my paperwork yet again!" "Why hello there Mr. Robenezer!" Said a Yellow Rabbit, He was wearing a nice black coat, alongside a tophat.

"Ah, Mister Harred. Come in." He said, sounding pleased, "Why thank you Mister Robenezer! May you please leave my fine feline?" Harred said to Dustren. "Y-Yes mister Harred." He said, grabbing a peice of coal from the basket and heading back to his desk.

"What do you want now in this cold season. Oh Oh. Let me guess, a few bucks," Davidson said, taking a seat as Harred did the same. "Not just a few, a hundred!" Harred said, before Davidson interupted- "A HUNDRED?! That's absurd! Why a hundred and not tens'?"

"Simple my fine lad! We're raising money for the poor! For people who cannot be jolly at this time of year! We want to help people for a brighter future!" Harred said, handing Davidson a paper. "And why should I help these poor yet rotten beagles, sitting across the alleyways, begging and pleading for money. Their just excuses for wasting your money. Stealing from your own pocket!" Davidson said.

"How fendish of you! Your always giving money to help us for a brighter future, but not the poorly? On the jollyiest time of year?" "Jolly smolly. Chrismas is a excuse to waste your money, and give children playtoys that will sooner or later go to waste."

"Well then, Mr. Robenezer. If your not so kind to help people for a bigger and better community, then good day, Mister Davidson!" He stood up, and walked away.

"M-Mister Harren?" Dustren said as Harren walked away. "Yes my fine lad?" "Mer...Merry chrismas Mister Harren." "Merry Chrismas my feline friend." Harren replied. Placing his tophat back ontop of his head and leaving the building.

"...Mister Robenezer?" Dustren said, leaning agenst his desk to face Davidson. "What Dustren." He said, displeasement in his voice. "Do you... want, to come to my family home? For Chrismas diner tomorrow?" "Bah, Humbert. I can have my own diner at my own home." The feeling of sadness came across Dustren's face. "Alright.. can I, atleast get the day off tomorrow?" Davidson looked up at him with a odd Face.

He then looked away from Dustren, back to work. "...I-I take that as a no."

[Chapter 2: The warning]

It was sundown, Davidson and Dustren were in the enterance. Getting their winter coats and tophats on. A Grandfather clock chiming during the office's closing hour.
"M-Mister Robenezer. Please, can I have just, tomorrow, off? I mean... Christmas is only once a year.." Dustren said, buttoning his coat from top to bottom.
"A poor excuse to get off tomorrow." He said, placing his tophat onto his head. "You heard what I said today. Christmas is a waste of money. Minute by minute you 'jolly' lads get happier but Hour by hour you get poorer."
"I suppose that's why you keep your money to yourself... huh Mister R-Robenezer..." He said, dusting his tophat and placing it onto his head.
The two then went out the office door into the cold snowy outside, Dustren walking down the office steps. "A-And a merry christmas to you sir!" He said as Davidson locked the office door.
"Chrismas Smishmas... Make sure your early tomorrow!" He said. Waving his cane at him.
"Y-Yes Mister Robenezer!"
Dustren was running by food threw the snowy weather, happening to come across a crowd of children playing within a large hill of snow. Joining in the fun, he climbed up the snow hill. Dodging snowballs flying Left and Right, from above and below. Until he reached the top. He then slid down from the hill on his two feet, the children cheering as he tipped his tophat and ran for home. He walked up to his house window, his family seen threw the window. A Blue female adult, caring for 3 smaller children. One Bright orange, One Green, and one Dark blue, with a small wooden cane in their lap. He then entered his home, muffled talking heard. As threw the window Dustren was seen, holding up the Dark blue kitten. He was the youngest and smallest out of the family, and seemed to be having fun with their dad.
Deep within the other side of town was a tavern labeled 'Rosehart Tavern Keeps'. Within it was a small crowd of people, human and animal, celebrating the upcoming Christmas day. At a table sat Davidson. A Barrel-like mug in his hand. Filled with a bubbling brew. People were clinking cups, dancing around, while four people on a stage were playing Christmas tunes. "Bah, Humbert." Said Davidson, only to be shortly after interupted by a door slamming open. Two men were dragging away a Antman. One of it's antennae bulbs flickering while the other was bright Yellow.
"Ghosts... Spirits..!" The man said, a nervous tone in his voice. "Their haunting me, their everywhere! EVERYWHERE! I've seen them..!" The man was shortly after booted out the tavern door. Davidson somewhat confused. "I bet he was drinking too much of that brew." One of the men said. "Maybe he's just acting silly!" The other one laughing heading back into the room. "Hm." Davidson said, getting up and placing his tophat back on.
It was shortly after he left the tavern, walking back home with his walking cane. He reached his mansion front door.
He pulled his mansion key out of his coat, and was about to unlock one of the two front doors, until suddenly, the face of a man appeared infront of the Left door's spyglass. It looked like a man, messy hair, a insane look on his face, and a large napkin-like wrapping strapped around it's head and face, alongside a large frown, with bags under their eyes.
"Daaaviiiiiiid..." The face said, it's mouth not even moving, Davidson was terrified, looking at the face, before it vanished into the darkness.
Davidson had a scared look on his face, quickly unlocking one of the doors and getting inside. Slamming the door shut in fear. He pulled a red hankerchief out of his coat and rubbed sweat off his forehead.
It was shortly after he already had his coat and tophat hung up on a coatrack. A candlestick in hand with a lit candle, lighting up part of the room. He walked up a small spiral stairway to the second floor. As he walked up, he could hear the sounds of chains being moved. Davidson looked behind him, the sounds of chains no longer heard. He looked back towards where he was watching, trying to keep a strict face.
After some time, he reached his bedroom. Shutting the door and locking it. He then placed the candlestick on a endtable next to his bed. He then went to a dresser, changeing clothes from his normal casual clothes to pajamas and a sleeping cap.
He then sat infront of his bedroom fireplace, tossing in a few peices of coal. Suddenly, the clock above the fireplace began chiming. A Grandfather clock, ad a standing clock. They all began ringing, chiming. Chains then began rattling. Davidson sitting up in panic and fear. Until suddenly, the face appeared again, though, with a body. He wore a straitjacket, a chain attached to their leg with a large chain ball. They were nearly transparent, as if they were a ghost.
"Who are you... What do you want?!" Davidson said, scared for his life.
"David. Don't you remember me? Your old buddy. Work pal." He said, leaning towards him, his mouth not moving, even if he spoke.
"Old buddy... work pal... Dustrith? Is... Is that you?"
"Out of the grave." He said, chuckling a little.
"Out of the grave...? What do you mean?" "Davey, Davey, Davey, you ask too much. I am a hallucination. A Ghost. One that haunts you."
"A ghost? That's rubbish. Ghosts are just-" "Fairy tales?" Dustrith interupted Davidson.
"It's all a lie! Ghosts are real! Like me!" "Well then 'Dustrith', what brings you to my lonely mansion? Have you come here to haunt me for the rest of my days?"
"Don't be so foolish. I've only came here to warn you!" Dustrith said.
"Warn me? About what?" "Three spirits. Three spirits much like me! Their coming to change your attitude. Change it for the better!"
"Oh really? My attitude is just fine the way it is!" Davidson said, Dustrith then became annoyed. "Even if people compliment me for not giving a care about this whole 'Christmas' thing that doesn't mean I should change-" Suddenly, Davidson was interupted by Dustrith, his arms ripping out of the straightjacket and removing the wrapping around his face and head. His mouth opening loud and wide, his eyes gone dark entirely, a distorted yell scaring Davidson back into his seat.
"LISTEN TO ME FOR ONE MINUTE ROBENEZER. OR MUST I HAVE TO MAKE YOU LISTEN THE HARD WAY." Dustrith said, his mouth wide yet not moving.
"I-I'll liston! Just please, please! Don't harm me!"
"That's better." Dustrith said, wrapping his mouth and head back up. His eyes returning. "Now then. Liston up."
"You will be visited by 3 spirits. The Spirit of Christmas past, present, and future."
"Future?" Davidson asked. "The spirit of Christmas yet to come." Dustrith responded, picking up the ripped shreds of the straightjacket.
"What are they going to do? Show me hat Christmas was in the past, what is was in the present, and what it will be yet to come?" Davidson asked, standing up.
"Not in the way you think Davey. I'd tell but it's a surprise."
"Much like a Christmas gift." Davidson laughed.
"Shut up or I'll unwrap yet again." Dustrith warned him, pointing at him.
"I must go, go back to the underscape below. But be warned Mister Robenezer. If you do not liston to the spirits, you will end up much like me. But with more chains. And a tighter straightjacket. Be warned!" He then pulled up the bedroom window.
"Oh, I'll be warned alright..." He said, keeping a strict face.
"Good. Now, I must go- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" Dustrith then walked out the window, but then fell.
"RATHERD!" Davidson yelled, running to the window and grabbing the chain ball Dustrith's leg was attached to.
"Are you ok?!" He yelled to Dustrith.
"I'll be fine. I'm already dead!" He shrugged.
"In that case. Farewell lad." He released the chain ball, Dustrith arms crossed as he fell threw the ground.
Davidson then walked back to his bed, until pausing. "Wait a momment, I'll be visited by 3 spirits much like him... but when?" Davidson asked himself, worried.
He then unlit the candle, alongside putting out the fireplace flame.
He then laid in bed, placing the covers over himself. A worried look on his face as he shut his eyes, and went to sleep.

[Chapter 3: The Past]

It was later that night, The clock had just hit 11 PM, The grandfather clock chiming, waking Davidson.
"Hm... blasted spirit.. they ain't real... they couldn't be.. could they?" It was then a bright light then lit from outside the bedroom window. Davidson got up curiosity, heading over to the window. "Morning already? It be only 11 PM." He looked out the window, putting his hand over his eyes to protect them from the bright light. Outside was no sun, not one at all. But a spirit. A Spirit with wings, and a halo above. Davidson backed away, as the spirit floated in threw the window, without even opening it!
"Wh-Who are you? Are... are you the Spirit of Christmas past?"
"Yes." Said the spirit, it's bright glowing darkened, revealing to be a small young girl in a bright white dress, a book in hand, with a pink bird on it's shoulder, a halo over it's head aswell.
"We, are the spirits of Christmas past. And our task is to show you your past."
"Alright 'Spirit of Christmas Past, how will you show me my past, you 'so called' spirit?"
"Grab my hand." The spirit lended Davidson their hand, "Go ahead!" The Bird said.
Davidson was surprised for a momment, but then grabbed the spirit's hand.
Suddenly, Davidson, and the Spirits were transported to a dirt road, surrounded by small brick paths, located out of a even smaller town.
"Where, where are we?" Davidson asked,
"Many, many years ago, before you and Dustrith met. Back during your school times." "School times? That's absurd, how do you know-" "Follow me." The spirit interupted.
"And don't interupt!" The bird said, pecking on Davidson in the head. "Ow!" Davidson yelped. Following the spirits after words.
On there way there, there was a man walking down the path.
"Excuse me lad, but-" "Don't try speaking to them." The spirit interupted again. "We're only shadows, they cannot see or hear us. Nor can they feel us," Davidson didn't even say another word,
They then arrived at a school. "Tell me spirit, what is this place?"
"This is Duskprowl school, the school you use to go too ever since you a were young fellow."
"Duskprowl school!" Davidson gasped, looking threw the window.
Threw the window was a classroom, it was almost empty, although one child was in the room. On a student bench was a young child, with more brighter hair, and a small scar on their left eye. They were reading a book, though at the same time they appeared, sad.
"Good heavens... this was around the time I was seperated from my family. When I had to reserve a room here at the school.." He said, the spirits walking threw the window alongside Davidson. He walked up to what use to be his younger self. On a chalk board was a drawing. a Drawing of Davidson and his father. "Oh, father. How I miss you." Both Davidson and his past self placed their hands agenst the chalk board.
"I still wish he was still around to this day, this day to celebrate... celebrate..." Davidson went silent.
It was a few seconds after until they were transported to the farther past. Within was a small dining room.
"Where are we now?"
"This was the last place you worked before you became what you are now." The Spirit responded.
"A selfish greedy man!" The Bird pecked. "Stop that!"
There were 3 men. A Slightly younger Davidson, A coated man, and green bear with a tophat on a stage.
"Alright boys, today's the day we prepare for Christmas diner! Robenezer, you go and grab the broom and sweep up the floor, Willherk you set up all the food and drinks.
"Yes sir!" The two men said, Davidson heading for a door labeled 'Closet', heading inside and grabbing up a broom and a dustpan.
Willherk placing all the food and drinks on all 12 tables, afterwords helping Davidson help clean. After a few minutes of preperation, The Green Bear walked up to the building doors and opened them, many guests walking in. Human and animal. Everyone danced, ate, drink, singed, and all cherry jolly things.
Although, Davidson sat all alone at a table, eating a turkey leg. Until, a woman tapped his shoulder. A beautiful woman.
"Care to dance?" She asked.
"Sure, I don't have anything better at this time, nobody's asked me out to dance anyway so, why shouldn't I?" He said, getting up and dancing with the woman.
Time passed and people had stopped dancing and began eating, everyone eating, The Woman and Davidson sitting together.
"I'm Nicolen, you?"
"Davidson, Davidson Ebenezer."
"A nice name, say we, go out? Tomorrow? At the pond view bridge?"
Davidson's eyes widened, he had never been asked out before. Even as a young lad, he had never been asked out before.
"I remember Nicolen." Davidson said, sitting on the same table his past self and Nicolen on.
"If only I didn't take advantage of her."
He watched himself and Nicolen talk and laught.
"Well, after all. What has been done cannot be undone." The spirit said, grabbing Davidson's shoulder and bringing them to the farther past, almost to the present.
"This was 2 years ago." Back when it happened. The Spirit said.
"No." Davidson said.
"Yes." The Bird said.
Davidson watched in fear, as his past self and Nicolen confronted eachother on the same pond-view bridge mentioned from before.
"How could you." Nicolen said.
"I had to."
"Had to? You got rid of the one thing that ment so much to me! So much my family shared from member to member!"
"I had to. In order to keep my- our home."
"Well it's your home now."
"My home? Honey it's our home-"
"Not anymore. You've sold many of my valuebles. All for money. We already even had enough money to keep our home! But now I'm done. I'm just done with you."
"But-"
"No more buts. It's over. I'm taking my half of the money and moving outside of England. Somewhere far off. Goodbye Robenezer."
It was then Nicolen turned away from Davidson, and walked off without another word, Davidson getting on his knees and sobbing.
"I shouldn't have sold all of those that ment alot to her. I thought the money would bring me good luck. A good life. I... guess I became too selfish. Too greedy."
"Well. That's one of the three lessons learned on the bright side. But that's enough of the past. It's time to return. Remember, you will be visited by the ghost of Christmas present at 1. Get some rest Robenezer, for the night has only begun."
Suddenly, Davidson blinked, and he was back in his bedroom, standing infront of the window.
He became worried a little, but after some time straigtened up.
"Must be dreaming again.."
Davidson then returned to his bed, looking at the grandfather clock, '11:00' the clock said.
"...Oh Nicolen.." He moved the covers over his face.

[Chapter 4: The Present]

12:49 AM at night, Davidson woke up, rubbing his eyes.
"12:40... barely can I get any rest. I must still be dilousional."
Davidson got up out of bed, unlocking his bedroom door and heading downstairs towards his library.
The library was old an dirty, even a small mouse was crawling all around. It quickly fled as Davidson walked in.
He grabbed a book off the shelf, and sat on a small sofa, and began reading.
"Maybe I could spare some time before the next 'Spirit' appears." Davidson said, making himself more comfortable.
11 minutes had passed, and ta clock now said 1.
Suddenly, noises were heard in the kitchen. Plates and pans falling.
"What the? Who's there?!" Davidson stood up, looking around.
After a minute he then went for the kitchen, having to push the door open.
Threw the door was a bright light, emiting and blocking Davidson's sight for a minute.
"Davidson! Your just on time! Please, come on in!"
"Who are you? I can't see ye!"
"Why, Me? It's We!"
The light then lowered, revealing to be two men, alongside a big green ant.
The First man wearing glasses and a green robe, the other with a clearly visible forehead alongside a green robe, and a 6-legged huge Ant, wearing a large green robe and a garland on their hand, their head high enough to the ceiling, and 3 eyes.
"Who are you three? The ghosts of christmas present?"
"Correct." The two men said.
The kitchen was packed with food. Turkeys, Stews, all types of Jolly food for the holidays.
"Where did all this food come from?"
Suddenly, Davidson was grabbed by the back of his pajamas by the Ant spirit,
"It's the food of generosity. Which you've never shown anyone ever since Nicolen left you Mister Robenezer."
The Ant said, holding him towards his face.
"Nobody has shown me generosity before!"
"That's because you never let them!" The forehead spirit said, floating up next to him.
"Though there are some with the warmth of their hearts, even for the likes of you."
The glasses spirit said.
"Oh really? Show me then!"
"We will." All the three said, the Big Green Ant walking threw the wall carrying Davidson.
The two spirits floated followed the Ant as they had a walk across town.
"Here we are."
The Ant dropped Davidson ontop of a large pile of snow, the pile collasping and Davidson getting covered in it, cleaning himself off.
"Why'd you bring me to this ol' shack?"
"This is the home of your employee." The glasses one said.
"Your underpaid, overworked employee, Dustren."
Within threw the window of the home was Dustren, his wife, and the three children. the Bright orange female, Green male, Dark blue female,
The mother walking over to their small furnace and removing a plate, revealing only a small turkey, 1x smaller then a ordinary normal turkey,
"What is that, a baby turkey? Surely they have more then that!"
"They don't, their very low on money, unlike you Greedypants."
The Ant shoved Davidson with his finger.
"Hmph."
Everyone then began sitting down.
"Now children. Is everyone ready to eat?"
"Yes Papa Dusty!" The orange and green ones said.
"Yes Dustren!" The Dark Blue one said.
"Good to hear," He sighed, "What do we have tonight?"
"Young turkey again I'm afraid."
The wife said, placing the turkey onto the table.
"Wowie! Look at all the food we can eat!" The Dark blue one said.
"I know Dimlight, I know." Dustren said,
"We must thank mister Robenezer for what we have!"
"Yes Dimlight, we must thank him for what we can receive." He and his wife sighed, looking at a empty corner of the room.
In the corner could be a large, sparkling, decorated, Christmas tree. But all they really have, is a sapling, with a small star ontop.
"Dimlight? What type of name is that?"
"They look like a dim color to me," Said the glasses one,
"God bless us all, including Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, and Uncle Robenezer!"
Davidson placed his hand agenst the window.
"Nobody's ever considered me a uncle before."
"Well, he won't call you uncle forever." Said the foreheaded one.
"Why so?"
"I see a shadow. One where the chair little Dim sat will remain empty for the rest of it's days, If these current events are still displayed to this day, I'm afraid Little Dim and his family will no longer sit in their very house for the rest of their days." The Glasses one said.
"You mean, if something isn't done, the child will, die?"
The three spirits nodded.
They were then transported to a new place. A Small home outside England.
"Where are we now?"
"We are at the home of Nicolen." The Forehead one said.
"Nicolen, show me."
They then pointed at the window, Davidson looking into it.
Threw the window was a son, two daughters, and Nicolen, sitting on a couch and watching her children play, all of the members human.
She was smiling, though at the same time, it looked like she was still lonely.
"I wish you were still here Davidson..." She said to herself. Wiping a tear off her eye.
"T-Take me back, please! Just take me back! I will change!"
"We will return you, but you still have one spirit left to meet." The Ant said.
"Learn your lesson. Or end up what the future foretells."
The spirits said, Davidson blinking and back in the library.
"...The last spirit... when is it? I need to get ahold of myself.. that can't be his family.. can it? And Nicolen... Nicolen.."
Davidson got up from the sofa, the book laying on the sofa. He then walked back towards his bedroom.
Later, in his bedroom, he had a candlestick lit, he appeared to be writing down a note, a letter. Once he finished, he left his mansion and went to a nearby postbox, and inserted the letter. Returning back to the mansion, back to his bedroom, and back to sleep.

[Chapter 5: The Future]

2:58 AM, Davidson laid in his bed, trying to sleep, yet in fear. He then got up, and walked towards the window. Looking out it.
"Nicolen... Dustren... Dimlight... Oh spirit yet to come.. please... show mercy on me."
Suddenly, the Grandfather clock chimed at 3. The bedroom windows flew open, David paniced.
Two shadow arms then came threw the window.
"No.. please! I'll tell you, I'll change!"
The arms grabbed Davidson, and pulled him threw the window. Davidson screaming in fear until suddenly he hit the snowy ground. He got up, looking around, breathing in fear.
Around him seemed to be a train station.
"W-Where..." He then turned around, behind him was 3 hooded people in dark black robes. 1 Infront, with a wooden dark cane, being held by a withered hand, and a lit cigar peeking out of the darkness from the hood.
The other two behind him.
One wearing a dark red robe, and the other with smoke emiting from behind their head.
"Are... are you the spirits of Christmas yet to come...?"
The front one nodded, Pointing their cane towards two men.
The two men was a normal man and a dark purple cat.
They appeared to be laughing has they both clinked together two drinks in glass on a bench, while behind them was many crates.
"What.. are those crates?"
"Items." The front spirit said.
"Items? From... from who?"
"You." The spirit said, pressing their finger agenst Davidson's chest.
"N-No, your lieing! This cannot be true."
"Do not resist the future." The red robed said.
"Yet to come!" Davidson yelled.
"FUTURE." The Red robed said, transporting him, the spirits, and Davidson to a room.
A Hospital bedroom. "Wh.. where are we now?!"
A man was heard, crying, weeping.
"No.." Davidson said, quickly turning behind him.
Behind him was a hospital bed, a young person under a cover. Next to the bed was Dustren, hands on his face, looking down.
"Lord... please, give my daughter a chance.. please.." Dustren said, tears going down his face.
A doctor walked into the room, not looking very happy.
"Wha..What is this?" Davidson said.
"I'm afraid I have bad news."
"Tell me, Tell me... PLEASE!" Dustren said, grabbing the doctor's shoulders.
"...It's best you say your final goodbyes." The doctor said,
"...No..No...NO NO NO.." Dustren said, down on his knees, sobbing.
Davidson remained silent, until they were suddenly transported to a new area, it was very foggy, a blizzard blocking part of the view.
"Where... where are we?"
The spirits walked into the view, the fog calming down and revealing the area to be a graveyard.
A Church at the distance, graves here and there.
"Oh no..." Davidson said in fear.
The red robed then walked towards a wooden tombstone, there, was Dustren, his wife, and the two orange and green cat children.
"Well... Dim, nice... visiting again... I hope you... en..enjoyed our time." Dustren said, almost crying.
"I... brought you a gift.." He placed a stuffed teddy bear next to Dimlight's cane, now sitting agenst the tombstone.
"Stuffer... you sleep mate... that you slept with every night... d-don't worry about us. We'll visit again next week... I promise.." Dustren said, soon after crying, his family trying to comfort him.
A tear went down Davidson's face.
"They... were right.."
Suddenly, the family vanished, The robed with smoke pointed towards a tombstone, covered in snow.
"What is this...?"
"Look."
Said the robed cane. Pointing towards the tombstone.
Davidson walked towards the Tombstone, in fear.
Next to the tombstone was another one, though, smaller, covered in snow aswell.
"Please.. spirits.. tell me... who's graves, do these belong to..?"
The robed cane then appeared in between them, The Red robed on the left and the Robed smoke on the right. They then revealed their hands, the Red robed with a gray rubber glove, and the Smoke with a mechanical steampunk hand. Wiping the snow off the graves.
Davidson then became feared, until the graves were revealed.
'Davidson Robenezer'
'Dustrith Ratherd'
Davidson screamed in fear, falling backwards and crawling away from the graves.
Many voices were heard, whispering Davidson's names. Spirits surrounding here and there. The ghosts of the graves.
Including Dustrith's.
"Well, here we are again! I should've known they'd come to you after all!" Dustrith said, approaching Davidson.
"Dustrith... please, Have mercy!"
"Davey, please. Relief yourself. I only came to do what I always wanted to do ever since the start of this whole night."
"What is it...?"
Dustrith removed the wraps again, his jaw falling open and screaming at Davidson, Davidson screaming in fear.
Dustrith then tied himself back up.
"Sweet dreams!" He then returned to his grave,
Suddenly, a spirit then exited Davidson's graves, chains emiting and grabbing it.
It was the spirit of Davidson, resembling Dustrith's, but with more chains, and a tighter straightjacket.
He was screaming in pain and agony, but what was most notable, was his eyes.
There was no wrapping around his head and jaw. There was a wrapping around his eyes.
Davidson screamed in fear, as the spirit was pulled back into the grave, and the grave opened, a coffin deep below feet, opening, fire and smoke emiting from it.
"NO. NO PLEASE! I'LL CHANGE!"
Shadow hands coming out of the grave, grabbing Davidson by the legs and slowly dragging him in.
"NO! I'LL CHANGE! I'LL GIVE MONEY TO THE POOR! I'LL INCREASE DUSTREN'S PAY! PLEASE! LET ME CHANGE!"
The hooded spirits then grabbed their hoods. Pulling them off.
The caned Spirit revealed to be a twisted, monsterish version of Dustren, with dark blue fur, part of his face a skull.
The Red robed a old man with a distorted mustace, and broken lens.
And the smoked rob a whole Female Steampunk Robot, a furnace chimey on their head, emiting smoke.
Davidson screamed in fear, as he fell into the grave hole, holding onto a tree root.
"Will you truly change Davidson?"
The Dustren spirit said.
"YES! I'LL DO ANYTHING! ANYTHING TO LIFE AS MUCH LONGER AS I CAN!"
"You better. Or else face the future-"
"YET TO COME!"
The Mustace Man and Steampunk began laughin, the Dustren smiling as the root snapped and Davidson fell into the coffin below.
"I'LL CHANGE! I'LL CHAAAAAAAANGE!!"

[Chapter 6: The Afterword and End]
Davidson then opened his eyes, his vision completely black.
"NO! PLEASE! I'LL CHANGE! I'LL-" He then ran into something, afterwords removing the covers over his face.
"Oh thank lord... wait.."
Davidson quickly ran to the bedroom window and opened it. The sun was slowly rising.
"Hey you down there!"
Davidson yelled to a young blue rabbit below.
"What?"
"What day is it?" Davidson yelled.
"It's Christmas day!"
"I still have time. Thank you young one! Oh! And take this!" Davidson reached into his pajama pocket and tossed down a golden coin to the child, the child catching it.
"Thank you! And Merry Christmas!" The child yelled, walking off.
"Alright, I need plans, what shall I do first...? Oh! Harren!" Davidson quickly got into his normal clothes and ran out the bedroom.
Somewhere in town, Harren was walking down the streetwalks, a small crate in hand labeled 'donations'.
"Harren! Harren!" Davidson said, running towards him.
"What do you want now Davidson." Harren said, disbelief in his face.
"I apologize for my attitude yesterday, I was a bit... under the weather.
"Uhuh, sure, let me guess, your just gonna put 10 bucks in the crate."
"No, even better!"
"20."
"300!" Harren's eyes widened in surprised after Davidson said 300.
"Y-Your kidding."
"Not a even a single joke! Take it! By all means!" Davidson reached into his wallet and handed Harren 3 Hundred Dollar bills.
"I-I don't know what to say! Thank you, thank you very much Davidson! You've done us a big deed!"
"My pleasure!" Davidson chuckled, shaking Harren's hand, and walking off in joy.
"That man... he's changed! Into something even better...!"
It was a hour later, Davidson entered his office, removing his coat and tophat, and sitting down.
It was a minute after he began writing on paper, Dustren rushing past the window.
"Heheh. 12 Minutes late. No surprise..."
Dustren quickly ran in the door, trying to hang his coat and tophat.
"And why are you so late when I told ye to come an hour early." Davidson said, sounding all grouchy like he did yesterday.
"S-Sorry sir... but, again, Christmas is only once a year.. I hope you understand sir..."
"Step in here." Davidson pointed at the chair infront of his desk.
Dustren trembled, sitting down and scooching closer to Davidson's desk.
"I will not treat this attitude for much longer. You have been late a full week straight."
"I-I know sir... but-"
"But what? It's the holidays! I know! But now, I'm finished!"
"B-But-"
"I, am about to raise your pay!"
Dustren sat in silence. Leaning closer,
Davidson then laughed loudly.
"And a merry Christmas to you too Dustren!" He chuckled, jumping out of his seat and grabbing Dustren by the shoulder.
"Wh...Wha-"
"Now listen to me Dustren, not only will I raise your pay, but not only that, I am making you my partner for my office!"
"Y-Your... kidding, right?"
"Not a t'all! And here's the best part, I am coming over to celebrate Christmas diner with your whole family, bringing gifts and even a large Christmas tree! And I'm going to help you heal Dimlight, oh Dimlight, bless us all!" He chuckled,
"Wh-Why... I don't know what to say..!"
Davidson chuckled, opening a safe and grabbing a good portion of money out.
"Take this money, and go buy you and your family a whole Christmas diner. Oh! And a big turkey aswell!"
Davidson placed a handful of money into Dustren's hand.
"I... I gladly will! Uh, when... will you come for Christmas Diner?"
"I'll be there at 11! But don't tell them, It's a surprise!"
Davidson winked,
"I will not say a word Mister R-Robenezer!"
Dustren chuckled, grabbing his tophat and rebuttoning his coat.
"See you then!"
"See you then sir!"
Dustren ran out the door, Davidson laughing in joy and cheer dancing.
It was later around 10:57 AM,
Dustren's wife was seen, placing a plate of a small turkey, more smaller then the one from last night.
Suddenly, Dustren came threw the front door, presents in hand.
"I'm back!"
"Dad!" The Children yelled, quickly getting up from their chairs and walking towards Dustren, Dimlight and Dustren's wife delighted.
The clock then chimed 11.
"And our special guest, Davidson Ebenezer!" Dustren said, Davidson walking in.
"Uncle Davidson!" Dimlight said, grabbing his cane and walking over to him.
"Oh, little Dim! I've heard so much about you!"
Davidson said, hugging Dim, and placing him on his back, as a piggyback ride, Dimlight enjoying it.
"Mister Davidson, it's nice meeting you." Dustren's wife said, shaking Davidson's hand.
"It's nice meeting you too Miss..."
"Cindella, please."
"Will you be staying for Christmas Diner Mister Davidson?" Said the Green child kitten.
"I gladly will, god bless you children, god bless you Dustren and Cindella, and-"
"God bless us all!" Dimlight said, raising his cane.
Davidson laughed.
"God bless us all!"
Everyone, including Davidson agreed.
It was then the family, and Davidson were later eating, though, there were 4 chairs at the end of the dining table empty. Knocking was heard on the door.
"I'll get that, don't go too far!" Davidson chuckled, walking to the house door.
He opened the door, and behind it was none other then Nicolen, Davidson's previous wife.
"Nicolen? What are you doing here-"
"I got your note." Nicolen said, handing Davidson a letter.
"You did?" He said, grabbing the note.
'Dear Nicolen, It's me, Davidson Robenezer, I know you may not forgive me for selling what meant to you most, shared by your family generations, if you do not forgive me I understand but I sit here in my mansion alone, I suppose you sit in your home alone aswell, if your looking forward to a reunition, please, meet me at my mansion at 10 on Christmas day. Signed, D.R.-'
"But, why'd you come here?"
"You left a note on your door."
"Oh.. yes... yes I did... So... will you, ever forgive me?"
"Well, I am looking to be not a lonely parent of my three children."
"Children?" Davidson raised a brow, trying to look confused.
Behind Nicolen was the two daughters and son.
"Ohoho! Yes! Come right in! We're having Christmas diner!" The Son and a daughter cheered as they ran for where everyone else was eating, the 3rd and last Daughter shy, walking in.
Davidson's eyes widened as he saw a Pink teddy bird in the daughter's hands, it reminded him of the spirits of Christmas Past.
"Hm.. well, come right in Nicolen!" He tapped Nicolen on the shoulder, leading her to the dining table.
It was later the family was eating, Davidson eating a turkey leg, until he looked out a window.
Outside the window was all the 9 spirits from last Night,
The Past Young Girl and Bird,
The Present Ant, Lens, and Forehead,
The Future Cat, Steampunk Robot, and Man,
And Dustrith.
Davidson, with no hestitation, gave them a thumbs up.
All the spirits giving him a thumbs up back.
"God bless us all!" Dimlight said.
"God bless us all!" Everyone, including the spirits said.
