A Light in the Night 2: Revelations

I don’t know what it is, but somehow this game has shown a lot of potential to a lot of people. But because I didn’t realize this earlier, it never reached that promise. I’m not looking into disappointing anymore, so I have decided to give A Light in the Night a redemption:

Basically, I’m making a SEQUEL of A Light in the Night.
Not because I want to revive this game back from the dead, but to compensate to the people who have been following this game ever since it was announced. I appreciate all the support they have shown to this game and I know I cannot let that be tarnished.
To me, ALITN feels like as though I’ve forced myself to make a game within a week, when really it took me TWO YEARS to do it, including the 1.3 update.
I didn’t take the game too seriously because I didn’t have an audience back then. But seeing that this game seems to still catch attention to some people, it’s time to make a move.

So yes, a sequel for A Light in the Night is under heavy development.
This time, I have developed the mindset of not getting bogged down by rushing the game or just “leaving it as it is.” I want the game to be more authentic and dramatically improve not in the sense of adding more gameplay aspects but to improve in terms of quality and graphical elements.
Also, A Light in the Night 2 Revelations will have its own original soundtrack purely composed by me.
This next game is planned to focus more on the gameplay as opposed to the previous ALITN game where it was just a story-based game with multiple choices to be made (although I might incorporate that.)
As for the story, the A Light in the Night 2 Revelations is set on a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT UNIVERSE FROM THE PREVIOUS GAME. You could say that this is a spinoff, almost. The story will be focused on a different protagonist, different scenarios, absolutely nothing related to the first game. I want to refresh the game’s story elements to make it more interesting and have a kind of “cinematic” feel (if that’s possible.)
And finally, I’m gonna take my time on this next game. I’m not setting any release dates until I’m 99% SURE when I’ll release it.

Sorry for the long news post. Hope I didn’t take too much of your time. Have a nice day!
