A project I’m helping with gave me the idea to look back on a couple of my older creations. As a result, I’ve decided to redraw Abomimare, my Nightmare amalgamation that kickstarted my FNaS art journey (with previous versions for reference).


I’ve shown the previous iteration before (July 2024), but the third image was the actual first drawing (May 2024) which was made as a basic reference.

The newest version has nearly all the physical attributes of the last one, with the only differences being the asymmetrical spines (Nightmare Sonic has more than other Sonics), the dot eye being white (I didn’t realize it stood for Eggman possessing Golden at the time), and the obvious palette change based on what the Nightmares were gonna look like for the cancelled MM remake.

Just felt like saying that because it’s nice to see improvements made over time, however big or small they may be.

And here’s some random trivia nonsense for those who decided to read all this:

  • I personally refer to Abomimare as ‘they’ because they’re literally a mashup of six different characters, but since five of them are male, ‘he’ also works fine.

  • I think I already said that they’re 13 feet tall when I posted the last version, but here it is again.

  • Under most circumstances, they’d essentially never talk. They’re able to, but it would either be weird noises or the most unintelligible voice overlap you can imagine.

And that’s all I got to say there. I’ve been having lots of fun drawing stuff related to this series. Thank you to everyone who found my stuff even a little bit interesting!

Next up

In another edition of mixing around preexisting characters and concepts to make a new character, I’ve created a Nightmare Cyan. I’ve also given him the nickname Cyanide, because it works too well to not do that.

Since I had fun with drawing RC Metal Devil, I asked for permission to do the same thing with a similar set of Metals. Thus, Encore Metal Devil!

RC Encore series made by @MisaelTheHedgehog and @RabootOOF , and reference art from @CwoodsWDCchannel was used.

In between some other projects I’m working on, I took a moment to redesign another FNaS OC, Toymaric. He was originally just a ‘Nightmaric but Toy’ character, and one of my oldest FNaS OCs in general, so he was due for an upgrade.

So I just redrawn the thumbnail to be a redraw of the original Sonic Coffees from 2020

Inspired by some cool info in the FNaS Fan Server about a Hardmode Shadow Sonic design Sunrose had in mind for MM before it got robbed and half-baked, I combined it with the canon design by Cyvap to make… Hardermode Shadow Sonic? Still thinking of a name.

The idea has certainly been done before, but I made my own take on a Nightmare Ballon Toad. I took the damaged design of Phantom BT as the base and added details based on the Nightmare Toys and Nightmare Balloon Boy.

This is absolutely the wrong season of the year for this guy, but I remade another old OC of mine. This is Grimm Prower, pretty much Grimm Foxy but FNaS.

I took an old creation of mine from last year and decided to redraw the guy while my decently improved skills. This is Dr. Silver, not related to any other known characters which may or may not have Silver in the name, just my own thing.
