A Quick Quack Update

Hey everyone!

Been a short while since I’ve given an update on this project. Development continues! The game was tentatively planned for a late ‘06 release, but that’s had to be scaled back for now due to some real life responsibilities and the lack of crowdfunding success.

While the kickstarter project was far from reaching it’s goal, this gives me somewhat of a blessing in disguise in that I have relieved myself of impending timelines and the burden on my shoulders that I needed to get the game done by a specific time, at the sacrifice of polish and depth of gameplay.

The result is some good refinement for the game since the demo was published. While everything is still a work in progress, I’ve been able to go back and improve the visual quality of the game, and up-res everything to 1080p (it was previously at 720p).

In addition to resolution improvements and visual polish, I’m taking the time to really refine and improve the gameplay. It wasn’t terrible before or anything, but as the game progresses I want to make sure that there are plenty of interesting new mechanics to grasp, interesting encounters to enjoy, and somewhat of a character progression system.

I won’t go into too much detail with the progression system just yet, but just know that it implements a variety of new weapons to utilize, abilities to choose from, and upgrades to your character to help enhance the gameplay and make for a very fun experience.

And, perhaps most importantly, my end goal is to make sure this game has as much quality replay value as I can make it have, without taking away from the current vibe and vision for the game.

TLDR: I’m taking time to make sure this game doesn’t suck.

I’ll keep you updated soon! For now, please enjoy the diarrhea beam. Thanks.
