With the turn of the new year, its kinda occurred to me that I haven’t really released a major update for this game in a while (and that’s kinda bad). I may not have worked on the game as much as i did in 2015, but I’ve certainly not been idle.
In fairness, I should have released an update quite a while ago dealing with a saving and loading system (which is working :D), but got caught up in trying to fix a few bugs that sprang up over last summer, not to mention a few hardware failures (laptop[s] died), corruptions (oopsie-poopsie) and university stuff.
So, I’ve put that right behind me and have now moved engines from Game Maker: Studio v1.4 to the all new and improved Game Maker Studio 2 which comes with a buncha new features (w00t w00t) such as new cameras and stuff. In addition, I’ll also be working on the next update (so we’ll be skipping from a1.3.0 to a1.5.0 or something) which will entail new animations, new containers, new interactive objects, and hopefully a few new levels (maybe) - a few of these having already been added. Perhaps some better sprites might be in order since the present ones are a bit old, but those aren’t immediately important in the grand scheme of things.
So in summary: projects not dead, new engine, all is good, and have a happy new year!
