A while back, we recorded a session where one of us played through a little demo level the other one had created. The original video is much longer, but we did cut it down to the essentials. It's in german. Don't ask about the facecam or voice. Reasons.

We want to give you a sneak peak of the enemies you one day might encounter in the game.

Today the simplest one: Code name "Bee" It just follows the player and periodically shoots once in range. Usually a push-over, but dangerous in numbers.

Another enemy appreciation post, without them the game would be half as much fun! Today's star is the Longhorn. With his ability to quickly get behind the player and his deadly laser he can be a real challenge, especially when surrounded by other enemies.

In Hello Space, you will have three different weapons to tackle enemies. Furthermore, each of them will have two possible modifications that you can unlock and use as alternatives. Check out this video showcasing the two mods available for the blaster.

Exploring space with a lousy ship drive doesn’t sound like much fun, does it? Well, face off against traps and enemies in the arena to earn upgraded versions of your drive that improve your ship’s agility.

It's pretty simple but we like it very much. What do you think?

In our game there is more to do than simply defeating enemies. Levels are built in a way that requires certain technologies to be used in order to overcome obstacles. One such technology is the Thrust Drive that grants a short boost and invulnerability.

Besides having four worlds to explore and conquer, there is also the open space that connects them. Within this space lie many points of interest and secrets to uncover, one of which is the arena — a place to fight enemies and earn special rewards.

Transforming an idea into a playable thing surely did take some time, but the first world is, in essence, finished, except for the boss. Here a comparison between the sketch and the scene in unity. Boss is still under construction so we put a GGEZ there.

Ever feel lost? A map might help :)
