Ability classes

So, one thing that I don’t think I’ve touched on very thoroughly yet is weapon classes. You can only bring one weapon of each class into any given battle without using your mid-battle ability change. Allow me to introduce you to the four classes of abilities you’ll be working with:

Primary weapons: These weapons tend to focus their firepower on one target.
Secondary weapons: These weapons tend to have ways of hitting more than one target.
Summon attacks: You can only use one of these per battle. They’ll definitely be your most powerful weapons to make up for it.

And lastly:
Defense abilities: These provide you with various helpful, somewhat more passive abilities. This includes things like a shield to reduce damage, a reflector to reflect attacks, a damage booster, etc.

Of course, I’m still working on the exact specifics, since not every class actually has a weapon yet (most notably, there aren’t any defensive abilities implemented, though I do have some ideas, and there aren’t any summons implemented, and I’m not 100% sure what they’re going to do yet). Still, this is the general concept I plan to use for the weapon mechanics.

Not a particularly big update, but hey, I figured I’d post it anyways.

Graphical improvifying

More graphical improvements (Note: Image is scaled up quite a bit, click on it to see it at the original resolution. Also, for some reason, it thinks I uploaded two images.)

Sometimes, you've just gotta stop and smell the flowers, ya know?

...?

Oh, did you think this was dead...?

...nah, but it was on hiatus.

I can't promise any kind of release date on anything here. Just can say I'm trying to get some more progress done now. Might actually release this update some day... maybe...

A new boss has been coded!

Currently trying to make the out of bounds areas in the upcoming (and eventual, please have a bit of patience, this may take a while) update look a bit cooler via unusual skyboxes and using a fade to transparency instead of a fade to black for fog.

They say the third time's a charm. Well, here's take 3 on the player sprite... consider it graphical improvifying phase 2.

In my attempt to continue updates as we approach the demo release, have an out-of-context graphical effect.

Working on a new boss battle...
