I will die happily if initial D ever goes full mainstream again, its just so absolutely peak (up to 3rd season). Its got really good characters and is mostly character focused too, with every 3rd episode being a race pretty much. If you havent watched it, theres 4k 60fps remasters on youtube from the first season to second to third (which is a movie), so theres nothing stopping you from watching it.

I would recommend watching the 4k remasters, which is basically the full season into one video since its in a higher quality than 480p (because initial D was made in the 90s and was on mostly vhs)
