Abyss Monarch Cookie wandered curiously around the seemingly abandoned palace, using their glowing staff as a guide. As they turned, catching a light in the corner of their eye, they seemed to find themselves staring back at thousands of cyan eyes, all different sizes from one another. They spread their tentacles to reveal their own piercing eyes and hopefully scare off the predator before hiding them at the sound of a voice.
“You aren’t supposed to remember me! What makes you return?” It boomed fiercely.
“Return?” Abyss Monarch Cookie questioned, still somewhat frightened. “I’ve never been here.”
There was a relieved exhale. “Thank the creatures of the Hadal Zone! I thought you actually knew who I was.”
“Who are you then…?”
The cyan eyes disappeared as a freakishly tall and mysterious Cookie stepped out of the shadows, in which were basically everywhere. “Hadal King Cookie. The ruler of the deepest and deadliest of waters.” He approached Abyss Monarch Cookie. Their height only reached around the mysterious king’s waist. “You are Abyssal King Cookie, I’m assuming?”
Abyss Monarch Cookie shook their head. “Abyss Monarch Cookie. Not a king.”
Hadal King Cookie rolled his eyes and scoffed. “This again… look, kid-…”
“Do not call me ‘kid’.”
“I’ll call you whatever I want!” Hadal King Cookie’s voice was cold and demanding. “And that includes calling you ‘he’ or ‘king’.” He stared in another direction. “I am way older than you.”
“You don’t even know me.”
“Indeed I do. You just don’t remember. And I’m grateful for it.” He grinned.
Abyss Monarch Cookie stared Hadal King Cookie dead in the eyes. “Why would you be grateful for being forgotten…?”
The tired-eyed king paused, eye contact remaining unbroken. They stared at each other for several moments, Hadal Zone Cookie clearly struggling to do so as his eyes twitched. He eventually gave up and turned away yelling. “Because you hate me! Everyone hates me!”
“I can tell why.”
“You take so much after me…”
(I’ll finish this later lol)
