Hey everyone! As you all know, I do commissions for scriptwriting, storytelling, copywriting, editing, transcribing, content/professional writing, you name it. As of 2024, I've worked with over 80 cross-functional teams and developed over 110 detailed scripts independently for games, short films, and other independent projects.
Although that's all been fun, the majority of the commissions that I take are NDA-affiliated or ghostwriting commissions on projects. While I collect a hefty profit from that (I like to stay in communities where creators are readily available to pay that sum of money), I've realized that it does not allow me to adequately showcase both the diversity in projects and creativity in ideas that my personal portfolio has. For all of my previous commissions, there is nothing I can do about that. However, as I apply or request to work with teams of a higher (or more professional) caliber, the fact that my portfolio is small relative to the work stated on my resume is always a big question.
This summer, I've decided to step away from the ultra-profitable commissions I normally pursue, and instead take and request commissions from Gamejolt developers and creators for anything they request...either for free or for a small profit (you can be the decider). My whole objective is to end the summer with a much stronger portfolio, one that I can show off that displays a better amount of my creative abilities.
Developers of any community, please let me know if you are interested in having a free/low-commission writing assistant on your team. All I require in return is that I am able to present my work for your project on my portfolio.

Creating compelling content to advertise, showcase, or sell a product or project.
Elevating standard gameplay into original concepts while still articulating complex technical concepts in simple, understandable language.
Verbalizing all aspects of content projects, covering summaries, dialogues, audiovisual elements, controls, characters, environments, plots, advertising, chances for sequels/prequels, etc. All with detailed descriptions.
Enhancing replay value.
Assisting in researching, editing, and brainstorming ideas for the requested content.
Developing verbal concepts of storylines, mechanics, characters, etc.
Assessing public opinion regarding projects and providing annotated data, feedback, and recommendations.
Transcribing team meeting interviews, public interviews, voice lines, etc.
In team meeting interviews, I typically transcribe the meeting into documents and issue the document to team members individually, highlighting the areas that add to their skill set on the team.
Editing and enhancing diverse content types, including but not limited to: storylines, summaries, synopses, emails, announcements, YouTube scripts, and press releases.
Storyboarding and scriptwriting for visual and/or playable projects.
Recruiting external team members of all skills through interviews and integrating them into the projects.
Identify marketing opportunities and collaborations with content creators and teams
Testing product/project functionality and providing feedback.
Maintaining consistency in the plot and in the brand.
