You don't know how LONG it took me to beat Sonic Mania, it took me straight up ages!! I first got the game for either my 10th or 11th birthday (I don't remember at all). I was playing with my best friend, and I think we got as far to the 7th or 8th zone (also don't remember).

After my birthday was over, I immediately got straight to continuing sonic mania and finishing it. But the only problem was that DAMN stage, Titanic Mornach Zone… that level PISSED me off, which is literally the reason why I ended up quitting the game entirely. Even when I got new sonic games, I STILL kept avoiding the game because of how difficult it was.

That was until now and yesterday that my little brother wanted me to play the game. Only problem was my progress was DELETED because of him, since I let him play the game, but I couldn't be mad at all since it was hard for me as a kid. I decided to let him play the first level, and let me handle the rest. At first it was easy in the first few levels, but that's when I progressed through Press Garden Zone, I began to remember and feel the abominational HELL of this game. I don't remember liking some of the new and old levels in this game, since they had new mechanics, but I couldn't be mad.

After getting past all of the zones and good nights rest, today (literally) was the day that I get past Titanic Mornach Zone, the level that DARED defy my way in playing sonic games. At first it seemed easy, I was getting past Act 1 like a pro, no certain or accidental death. Until Act 2 came along, and that's where my rage and tears went through the most. Basically what you have to do in order to get to the final boss is to get through four areas that loop back to the central area. At this point, the player must go through each of the four areas in any order they choose. Once all four areas have been cleared, a wormhole will appear in the central area, teleporting the player to the final boss fight. When I tell that this broke me, it DID!

I had to take breaks and concentrate the absolute HELL in this. Even when I passed the area and got to the boss, STILL FUCKING DIED. I had to watch a video for how to beat it. After that, I became focused on only where I was when playing sonic. And soon, I finally beat that goddamn boss! FINALLY!! Anyways, thank you all for coming to my Ted Talk, bye guys!!
