After Aya's takes the use of holy cards as weapons, then Mari is left with an empty weapon slot. I have some ideas on which weapon should Mari wield. I currently have this thing:
Throwing knives with crosses engraved on the blades: Not a kind of normal weapon, but it is a kind of (divine) weapon forged by Ritsuko Shinko, so these knives are considered to be holy objects anyway (since they are crafted by an angel). These knives have strong anti-evil properties like Aya's cards, and upon contact with any evil beings, they could create a cross-shaped explosion on the enemy through the divine powers flowing through the cross engraved on their blades, dealing huge damage (Similar to Sakuya A's knives in DDC). There is some rumor saying that Mari hides these blades inside her cape. With these knives, along with Mari's extreme accuracy on throwing them, many enemies will be no match against Mari's knives. (Normal Attack: Trinity "Tri-Stab"; Charged attack: Trinity "Tri-Stab + Cross Explosion (Petit)"; Spell Card: Atonement Sign "Blade of the Holy Blood" (a reference to the blood of Christ, also to the fact that the blade of the knives used in this Spell Card are having red splotches that look like blood (but actually aren't))
That's sounds a bit like the Christian version of Sakuya, another Touhou girl who also uses throwing knives as her weapon of choice, to which Sakuya is an atheist but Mari is affiliated with a Christianity-like religion found in my Touhou fangame series. But again, a girl who uses cross-engraved knives is not the same person as an atheist who uses a fecking ton of throwing knives in her attack skills, or some tiny girl who uses knives in many of her Spell Cards to represent her needle-sword.
Do you think this type of weapon I assigned to Mari is cool? Please vote for me, leave a comment below, or like this post! Literally, you can do anything you like about this post!
P.S. The Mari in this post is not meant to be the MARI in OMORI, but she is Mari Okazaki, a character in my Touhou AU fangame series. Please do not be confused, OMORI fans.
