Alpha Release 0.3.0 Changelog


- Very basic global illumination was added

- Changed the way the player is able to throw crates without the throwing ability: The base x-speed was reduced, but the influence of the player's x-speed on the crate was increased

- Crates now decelerate slower when not being in their grounded state

- Changed the way most text (including the menu) is rendered, thus the text's resultion is lower

- Changed one of the tutorial text in the Crate Clearing to say "You can't jump as high as normal, when carrying a crate" instead of "You can't jump as high as normal, when carrying a box"

- A quicksave system has been added to relaxed mode.

- The dashcooldown has been reduced.

- The jumpcooldown has been reduced, thus problems with the player clipping through jump crystals has been fixed in most cases.

- Dashchaining has been added.

- Wallsliding has been added.

- Collected seeds and seed(ling)s now show up in the seed(ling) counter before reaching the next checkpoint.

- The option to remove all locks has been added to relaxed mode, however the lock that exist to stop the player from exiting GWL is permanent.

- A counter for the seed(lings) in the current level hass been added.

- The resolution is now adjustable.

- Some jumps within the Orange Fall Forest and the Cliffside Coast were rebalanced.

- Crates have new sound effects.

- The vertical distance travelled through dashing will no longer be reduced when carrying a crate.

- There have been slight changes to the Orange Fall Forest's music.

- 22 new seedlings were added.

- 10 new seeds were added.

- Light effects were added.

- The cratethrow was added.

- The swimdash was added.

Y'all already bored of Silksong? No? You should check out the demo of Chicken Island anyways, because its Alpha releases on the 13th of September, so get your savefiles (which work on web too) ready!

NPCs and Textboxes are new features in the game, however, they'll probably not be implemented in the upcoming 0.3 Update, but will be a central feature of the 0.4 Update

Chicken Island's new Alpha version just released!

2 new levels with unique abilities, better visuals and more than 25 new collectables wait to be played.

The soundtrack is now also available on the game's gamejolt page.

The game can now be played in a range of different resolutions form 1080p to 240p.
