Heys guys, its been a while hasn't it? So, some of you may be wondering whats taking so long. Well, its kind of complicated, and hard to explain. First I will say that no this game isn't cancelled and far from it. I just haven't had the time to work on it. Let me explain
So back during around October I unhalted the development on a project I have been working on for over a year now, this being the Slendytubbies III Remastered project. This is a project I have put a lot of time and effort into and so far, I feel its been going extremely smoothly. Now some of you may know I planned for a prototype for this game as well as a demo for TRTF5 to release around August. Of course, that never happened. Why was that? Well truth be told I was having a lot of mental issues at the time. I will say this, April and May were the most hellish moments I have ever experienced, and whilst June and July were not as bad they still were hard on me. I wont explain why as its extremely personal, but I ended up being extremely horrible and doing things I severely regret now. I am not saying this to get attention or be internet sad emo girl over here, in fact ever since then however I have managed to grow stronger mentally, which I am extremely happy about! in fact, I hoped to do a surprise demo release on the 7th anniversary, which would be announced in the 7th anniversary event being hosted by 2000 Studios/Elijah (I will still be attending the live viewing, just not appearing on the video)...but guess what happened? Nope, not more mental health issues.
Physical health issues.
Basically early this year I had several shaking episodes that we couldn't diagnose. They got to the point where one time, I was on the floor unable to control myself. Fortunately, these had left around June/July...but then it returned in August. Whilst the first time we theorize it was just a reaction to the Covid vaccine, the other times definitely were NOT. (Not saying don't take the vaccine, please do take it as soon as possible for you and those around you) I have missed so many school days its terrifying. So of course, I had to compensate for all the missing work and material. You know what that means?
Taking time away from development.
Now luckily, I am about to take a two week vacation for Christmas. And whilst there will be shit like two birthdays and Christmas to deal with, I am still gonna spend time on development as much as possible. I am not gonna set a release date for the demo until its pretty much finished, at which point I will have a month of bug testing with a few people in private, before the game is released publicly. I may also end up throwing some other small goodies in there as well, such as maybe some wallpapers, behind the scenes screenshots, maybe even some stuff relating to the trailer I have been working on. We will just have to see!
I am sorry for everyone for having to wait for so long. Soon I will post some polls for you guys to decide on what should be done in the near future. Expect at least 3 polls, or maybe more depending on some other factors.
Whilst I do have concerns over the future, I do feel as though things are looking up again for TRTF5. Hopefully things will heavily improve in the near future, and we can have the demo come out sometime soon!
Thank you for following the development of The Return To Freddy's 5. I hope to talk with you guys again soon.
