An Update Pt. 3

Hey y’all, once again it hasn’t been a month but once again some pretty significant progress has been made to the game, so I feel that these updates will only occur when I have something to show.
Today, I have to explain and discuss release dates, content, and things that need to be finished.
Release dates: I’ll be honest, I’ve grown a hatred towards making deadlines for myself that are more specific than just ‘actually try and finish the game in under a year’ so in my last update post when I said that the game would hopefully be out in November, I can’t promise anything. While the update is progressing in it’s development, I don’t think it is going fast enough to release in November, bu I’m not sure, it could magically be finished in a weeks time, but I can’t give any specific deadlines or release dates.
Is this bad news? No, It’s 100% not bad news, in fact, it’s good news in my eyes, because now I have all the time I need to make this update great. I don’t want to have to rush myself to complete something and then be forced to half bake it and release a buggy and uninteresting game or update. Now, onto the next topic.
Content: This update is gonna be a big one aesthetically, while also having new gameplay mechanics to make the game more riveting. I can’t give any examples as of now, as I want to keep them relatively secret. For right now all I can say is that this update is gonna be a big one.
Things that need to be finished: This is one topic that is hard to discuss fully, but I will do the best I can. I currently have a checklist next to me at all times when working on this update on things that need to be added, removed, or changed. The list is pretty long, and so far I haven’t checked off a single box, however it gives me a good direction on organizing the things needed to be done. One of the two biggest things that need to be done are The Tutorial and Night 5. The Tutorial will take pretty long because there will be a lot of experimenting and trial and error that will occur to make it fully functional, not to mention having a voice actor that will need to send lines. Night 5 is it’s own story. It is very much different from the original Night 5, but I cannot say how. All I can say is that it will be a lot easier to play.

Now for everyone’s favorite part ;)
Until next time,
