I’m sure we’ve all heard of Animaniacs, even if it wasn’t that big of a part in our childhood. I’m sure we all know that there’s Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. However, little do most people know, there was ORIGINALLY supposed to be FOUR Warners.

When I was only in first grade, there was a company called Warner Brothers, secretly featuring a fourth and forgotten Warner. His name was Smakko. I KNEW for a fact there had to be some footage or CD out there of this Smakko the fourth and forgotten Warner.

I only found some footage of Smakko a few months ago. I tried contacting Warner Brothers, but they had no idea of Smakko. They sent me the email because they might have some sort of idea about who Smakko is. Sure enough, I contacted them because they had to have known about Smakko if anyone alive did. They then sent me a link to some early Animaniacs footage. After all these years of wondering what Smakko looked like, I HAD to finally find out!

The tape was in all black and white. It featured Yakko (Yakky), Smakko (Smakky), Wakko (Wakky), and Dot. The tape froze up so many times that I thought my computer was lagging. Smakko (formally Smakky) was definitely the most interesting and sarcastic of the four Warners. They probably cut him early on in order to be more kid-friendly. He constantly sassed off Otto (aka Dr Scratchansniff) and even made some pretty inappropriate jokes that I’d rather not say on this site.

Without a doubt, Smakko was in deed the funniest! While most give the “cutest” credit to Dot and most give the “smartest” credit to Yakko. I personally give BOTH credits to Smakko. Maybe he wanted to be the mid aged Warner but Wakko, of course, didn’t want him to be.

For conclusion, this lost episode was in deed a great find! Considering the network station he was on was quite kid friendly since I listened to it in first grade, I wasn’t expecting Smakko to be what he was.
