Early Devlog: Slight Progress Update + Addressing Bugs & Glitches Policy (4/28/25)
Art has been relatively slow so far. Unfortunately, my schedule is busy enough where I can’t work on the game full time. Hopefully I will eventually be able to get more time to work on concept art for the game/develop ideas for the game as time goes on.
I actually wanted to post this devlog in regards to…
Game Bugs And Glitches.
In short: I only see fit to patch bugs that make the game unplayable, crash the game or lose progress. If any bugs or glitches come up in playtesting, and it’s harmless, I’ll leave it in. Plus, it might be fun to mess around with said bug. Maybe I might make the bug into a feature.
The reason I say this is because… well, I know some companies… *ahem* only want you to play games they way they intend. I see that as annoying if they patch bugs that are relatively harmless. Rest assured, if I can keep old builds to the public, I won’t be removing them. Hell, if someone wants to make a little archive in the future, that’d be awesome!
In addition, I want to be able to make the game accessible to a wide audience. This means I may include:
Color Blind Toggles
Epilepsy Toggles
Possible Difficulty Modes
I want everyone to be able to enjoy video games, no matter any possible medical conditions/experience with games. And if it means I need more time for development, I see it as acceptable :)
Anyhoo, I’ll be here developing concepts, art, and whatnot. Currently I’ll be thinking of some class concepts while waiting for Nicalis to respond to my email. (It has been a whole month, including weekends, with zero response.) If you have any questions regarding anything with Fox Fighters, feel free to ask! It could be about trophies, the story, how some mechanics might work, etc.
Cheers,
DJBendy
