Are test maps ok?

I really wanted to put out an updated version of Error Ware 2 like, a year ago, but I held back because the included Pokémon homage “Abstráctomon” became way larger in scale than expected.

While the battle system was working fine, I didn’t want to release it without at least a small overworld area and some kind of story, since I figured walking around on my test map wasn’t that much fun?

But now I got so many people interested in EW2 / Abstráctomon that I can’t let you guys and gals keep waiting another year without anything playable!

Please vote below:

Would you play Abstráctomon with incomplete story & test areas or would you rather wait for a more complete build?

Right now the new demo would consist of

  • Introduction where you get your first Abstráctomon

  • Test area with other trainers and tall grass, an Abstrácto-Center, etc.

  • a WIP dungeon

  • no real story beyond introduction, no gyms (you can battle gym leaders, but their gyms & dialogue aren’t ready yet)

Abstráctomon Screenshot (+GIFs! )Update July 29, 2020

May I introduce you to the Rich family (from left to right): Gunther Rich (your rival), his dad Prof. Albert Rich and his mom Mary Rich!

You might get a wet surprise while digging with the shovel! These fountains while lift you up if you stand / swim over them. Here it will take you onto an otherwise inaccessible ledge. Neat!

The first Abstráctomon of your team can now follow you around! I'm currently working on this little feature. In screenshot 2 and 3 you can see a new variant of tall grass for beaches.

Here are some zoomed out screenshots of some areas from the upcoming game Abstráctomon by U-GameZ.

A new invention lets you create shinies?!

Here's my progress with the automatic island generation so far. Beaches, grass and ponds work now. It works with pretty much any source image size, but the larger the image, the longer it takes to generate the island. Next I'll try to add some elevation.

Photographed Abstráctomon now cast shadows!

These fluffy snow monkeys are Abstráctomon No. 97 & 98 [ENG] Chillchim / [FR] Makrouler / [GER] Makuller and Lenzo.

They're Ice/Grass types. They love snow, but no signs of snow in my area yet. Maybe in February?
