Art Weeklies | Small Update / Feedback appreciated

Changes on the Horizon [Read the article for details!]

Hello everyone! I hope you had a good week

I figured that I should let you know about some of the ideas I have for Art Weeklies. If you have at least a bit of feedback about it, share it with me! I want to build this community with the help of everyone, so any and all feedback is appreciated in building a better community.

With that out of the way, let's get into the updates

Optional Limitations

As you may know (or not, more on that later), last week's theme had a different thing added to the mix, which was an optional limitation! From the start it was intended to be optional, for those who wanted to take an extra challenge, and so far it worked out! but there was a lower amount of submissions, so I'll hold out from doing optional limitations until we grow the community a bit more (and as such, there's more submissions). Once it does that, optional limitations will return

Announcements of Themes

Since the start, new themes have been uploaded every Friday at 11:00 AM in UTC-3 time, and have been frontpaged around the same time. So far it worked well, but there's people from multiple timezones that are a part of the community, and they might not know about the newest themes (may it be because they only check the main feeds (For You / Following), or because they're on mobile (it doesn't highlight when new posts have been uploaded to a community there).

What's the solution I've been thinking to this? To feature the themes 2/3 times in total each week, 2 in Friday's (one at the morning and another by the night), and one in the middle of the week (I'm thinking between Monday and Tuesday). The last one isn't fully decided yet, but I'm thinking about doing it in one of those days too.

Bonus Theme

I've been thinking about doing an extra theme, which could be of anything, may it be another scene/fanart idea, or something entirely different. These, like the Optional Limitations, wouldn't happen every week, but would happen at least once per month. While it hasn't been decided if it should be happening in the middle of the week (so it can work with both last and current weeks themes) or be shared with the other 3 themes at the same time, it's an idea I had since week 2 of this project. I'm slightly leaning more towards the latter, because I feel like it could confuse people to see a random theme appear out of nowhere, separated from current and last week's themes

While these are planned, they aren't the final say in this, so if you have any feedback, again, please share it! Your feedback helps a lot on this
