The RE stands for REborn!

After months in the planning/works, I (AnubiArts) am excited to finally reveal the v2 update for Art Weeklies, Art Weeklies:RE! This update will make big changes to some aspects of the Art Weeklies Community/Account. Keep reading to find out what Day 2 changes bring to the table!

What? You thought that the Themes was the only thing changing?

We're introducing other things with this update too! Starting with...

Weekly Spotlight

Every friday, along with the reveal of the new themes, a piece based on the last weeklies will be moved to this new channel, highlighting the best of the weeklies! This channel will be on-top of all the 5 original channels.

(This channel will start being active once the next weeklies are finished)

A New Face

Wiksy will be taking some time off, so they will be replaced by a brand new character representing the Weeklies going forward... Y-Moton!

Y-Moton is an optimistic robot, always smiling and seeing the good side of things. They will replace all the places where Wiksy is currently located at (Including Community/Account Icon.)

New Looks!

Y-Moton is coming up with some brand new graphics for the Art Weeklies community! All of these (including Y-Moton) change from the yellow/black combo to a blueish color ramp.

Since Y-Moton is a robot, it just seemed fitting that the new graphics are pixel-based! But don't worry, this doesn't mean that only pixel art will be allowed from now on! As always, any art medium (except AI and NFTs/Blockchain projects) is allowed to participate.

Header

You might have noticed something with these new banners (other than they're complete pieces now). The channel banners' main points are centered now, that way they can fit better in the mobile banners at the GameJolt App. Due to this, the text in those banners was removed in the new versions.

Other Changes

• The FAQ and Welcome posts will be slightly updated to reflect these new changes.

• The format at which new weeklies are presented in the main post and article will be changed.

TL;DR Patch Notes of the changes of this day:

• Added Weekly Spotlight to the channel list.

• This channel will feature one of the best submissions of the Weeklies. Updated every friday, along with the theme reveal.

• Wiksy took some time off, so a new character, Y-Moton will take their place!

• Y-Moton will be featured in the Art Weeklies Community/Profile Icon, along with a few other places.

• Changed the graphics of ALL the Art Weeklies banners, with brand new pixel designs.

• Updated the community/profile color of Art Weeklies, from yellow to blueish.
