[The following audio log was taken from the body cam of 3 paranormal researchers, trying to recover a body from the hotel. The three researchers were codenamed Med, Exo, and Vi.]

Exo: alright. Let’s make this quick, in and out. Find the body, take pictures, and leave. 30 minute adventure.

Vi: easier said than done…

Exo: shut up. At least try make it quick.

Vi: right, right…

Med: soooo, uh, any idea what we looking for?

Exo: apparently the body should be found around room 63. We got a bit of walking to do…

[the three walk for a while with no communication. Oddly, no entities attacked in that period.]

Med: ...anyone else getting an uneasy feeling about this…?

Exo: not really. You probably just forgot to take your anxiety pills.

Med: right… right…

Vi: hold on, does this place have a bathroom?

Exo: no?

Vi: right, cus I gotta go.

[awkward silence]

Vi: I guess I’ll just, like, find an isolated room and go there?

Exo: [slightly disgusted] right… well, do what you need and catch up with us in a bit.

Vi: right, sure.

[Vi walks off into an isolated room.]

Exo: [sigh] hate that guy.

Med: uh- why? I think he’s cool.

Exo: just find him dumb and annoyin’-

[A loud scream from Vi can be heard nearby]

Exo: wait, was that-

Med: V-Vi…?

Exo: OH SHIT-

[Exo and Med both run to find the source of the screaming. They eventually find Vi, cowering on the floor.]

Exo: Vi, what’s wrong? Did you see something?

Vi: I-I c-don’t know.. something’s m-messing with m-me…

Exo: how so…?

Vi: t-the lights f-flicked, and n-now I’m paranoid-

[a distant rumbling can be heard.]

Med: y-you guys hear that…?

Exo: yeah… I hear it…

[the rumbling gets closer.]

Vi: oh god oh god oh god…

Med: I-I don’t like this at all!

Exo: fuck it, I’m outa here-

[the door slammed shut]

Exo: fuck, this ain’t good-

[an unidentified voice can be heard laughing, and the rumbling gets closer. The footage became slightly distorted, but a red, disfigured smiling face could be seen peeking out from behind a crack in a wall]

Med: OH NO OH NO-

[the body cam footage and audio became distorted, but what could be seen was a garbled mess of fire, and all that could be heard were the shrill screams of the three. Their bodies were never recovered. All that was found was blood on the walls of the room they were in, and a crude smiley face drawn from their organs on the floor.]
