AUGUST Devlog.

*Heya everyone! MeZ here with the August DevLog!

It's been a few days since I began this project, and I'd like to thank the few who followed along with this project.

This whole game was based on a small idea that I chose to expand upon.

currently, there are only 4 rooms, the player sprite still needs work, and there aren't any other character sprites in the game.

I might not make a new devlog in the next few months.

"Son, prove to me that you can rely on yourself and protect those you care for."

Main Overworld systems: 90% Need to add inventory.

Misc. Overworld systems: 9% Some funny stuff that adds more to the game

Battle System: 0% Unsure if it should be like Undertale or Deltarune, but I know that the player's soul will get a dash ability with iframes midway through the game.

Party System: 1% Due to limitations and complexity, the pokemon in your party will be selected for you, and every other pokemon you catch will be sent to the PC.

Room count: 2% 4 rooms only as of now.

I do want an actual team instead of it being just me developing it, and the reason why is mostly due to me being a beginner GM programmer.

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
