BAD VIBES game jam post-mortem


BAD VIBES was initially created as an entry to GitHub’s annual game jam, the results of which were just revealed. The game didn’t take home any top prizes, but it did get a shout out in the Staff Picks, which is actually a lot cooler if you ask me.

Anyway, I decided to take this opportunity to write a bit about the making of this game, some thoughts on first-person shooters in general, as well as what I thought about the whole game jam process. You can check out what I wrote here:

Thanks for playing, everyone. I’m having to update the top 20 high scores leaderboard all the time, which is super cool. Hopefully I’ll have the time to drop an update into this game in the coming months.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
