Battlegrounds will not be coming to mobile.


And here’s why: I have (believe it or not) tried porting Battlegrounds to mobile.

The first issue I noticed was that iOS and Android do not support Construct 2’s multiplayer, therefore making multiplayer impossible.

Second issue I noticed was that while working on a Singleplayer mode for the game in an attempt to port it, the game completely flipped out, and I mean completely. The screen flashed black, and all sorts of other glitches happened.

Last but not least, I don’t believe touch controls would work well for Battlegrounds and I doubt Battlegrounds will run well on mobile.

TLDR; Battlegrounds is not coming to mobile. Don’t blame me, blame Apple for blocking Multiplayer on HTML5 games in Safari.
