so I’m just gonna catch y’all up on the state of everything, me, my projects, etc

first off I gotta address the elephant in the room

Redemption Denied

rd is kinda just dead now, I will say this as bluntly as possible but it’s out of love for the d7 community, do not expect this game to come out ever, it’s such a slim chance with how things are right now that it would be a miracle.

however there’s a reason I said game

I’ve realized slowly that I’m just not a good programmer, game designer, map maker, etc. I don’t really think I’m fit out to be designing a game of the scale I planned, especially in scratch/turbowarp

I’ve been doing a lot of story writing stuff for the game, and I’ve realized that it’s my favorite part besides art and sound design

rd could have potential as many different forms of media, animation, cinema, hell even a comic, I’m fans of all of those things and even when rd was strictly planned as a game movies, animation and comics were big influences for it

the games story vibe etc has also changed a lot into something I feel truly happy with in the past couple months

so don’t be expecting rd as a game, probably don’t expect anything of it in a while, but I won’t say that it won’t come into fruition in some form

next, me in general

I’ve been focusing a lot of time to doing things in real life and my goals in general. im at the age where im trying to figure out what I want to do in the world and my interests, this is why im not as active on certain platforms

finally my thoughts on d7 as a whole rn

its kinda dead, no doubt because of holidays and shit but also because it’s just not being advertised or spread a lot

there are a lot of other factors as to why it’s dead and no one is to blame, it’s the perfect storm of things that stop productivity and liveliness

I believe that things can get better but we really gotta try to get it there, through such methods as, again, spreading it around to people and groups

aight, I just wanted to update you folks on everything, hope your holidays have been good and happy new year, 2021 was a rollercoaster and I doubt this year will be any different
