Been also thinking of going to the 3 button layout. (Akin to Cyanide's Sonic Battle ME and ABAB's sonic characters.)
Since Usually a 6 button character can be a lot of work.
(I will still try some work arounds)

Sumin didnt just make some characters But also sandbag (Though bare bones)
2/3 of them are references to
Sonic's Concept and is also a Skin in Sonic Superstars Cream's Debut (Though inconsistent looks)
