Brief progress update

Hello!
Currently there is no build update planned for a while, but the game is being worked on for sure. At the moment most of my focus is on music and sound, but also on polishing what is already in the game, making sure that everything works as expected and that scripts are efficient etc.

So this week I started working on music, nothing set in stone yet, but I have some concepts made and I’m pretty certain which direction to go with the music for the game.
I’ve started editing the sounds and gotten around to implementing placeholder sounds for everything. I will be working on sounds parallell with music production.

I’ve added a lot of polish to projectiles, and also made sure that things work properly with, in particular, the plasma and missile turret.

Lastly, I’m constantly running tests trying to improve performance even more. This week I ended up making changes in quite a lot of the scripts to ensure that they don’t run when they’re not needed etc. Hopefully that does not introduce new bugs. :D

Doesn’t sound like much, but a lot of work goes into perfecting things and hopefully it is worth it. :)

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
