Cars 2 was originally going to be created for either teen or adult because of "dark scenes" before scrapped , but now made for kids (by the way, cars fans know this isn't for kids because they saw something but Pixar team didn't know)

Finn McMissile:

He was originally created for cars 1 that McQueen and his girlfriend were watching movie about him but it got scrapped and later reused for cars 2 since John Lasseter liked him so much so, they bring him back as "secret agent" for cars 2

Rip Clutchgoneski:

He was originally going to be die in first race of Would Grand Prix due to being killed by lemons using E.P.E.

This because of his name meaning which "rip" for "Rest in peace" and "Clutchgoneski" for "Clutch Gone in the Sky". His fate has been changed that he's only suffering from brown engine and still able to racing

Leland Turbo:

A early version of himself was full different and his design type of car was Red "ZAZ-968 Zaporozhets" instead of "Jaguar E-Type" he's running away from lemon cars chasing him but at end of opening scene he was ended up crashed into cube. This was removed because originally opening scene was "dark" which means that was creepy

Many people thought he was "leland turbo" this is most likely early version of him

Lewis Hamilton:

He was originally named "Lewis Revington" and his design is grayish paint job with a ghost pattern of the Union but changed for unknown reason

Raoul ÇaRoule:

A early concept art showing female version of raoul ÇaRoule called "Michèle Mouton" with different design. It got changed to be second before final one called "Sebastien" who's male

Rod Redline:

Like leland turbo, early version of himself was light green car but his name was unknown, he was running from lemon cars but they ending up beated up him and he was fall into water from Halloween park attraction in "germany" He did give photo of leader mastermind to mater before he was died but mater didn't horrified to see him and realize it due to his low iq or being unaware

however, it has been cut due to traumatizing kids

When lemon cars Torturing him, he was screaming in pain when that weapon used to killing him before he died. That sound screaming in pain was replaced by "groaning in pain" which is very normal and less scary

Would Grand Prix cars:

Originally there's another one does exist in "12" but it's unknown just I really don't know

Zil:

There's originally main villain of cars 2 called "zil" who's Russian criminal mastermind car He was only appear in opening scene but his role has been rewritten and replaced by both Miles Axlerod and Professor Zündapp

Even his personality and traits were reused for professor Zündapp
