Personality

Mettaton is a shy "cutie" ghost who scares easy. She is too scared to talk to anyone out of a fear of rejection due to Blook (name not final) abandoning her for the spotlight, but grow attachments to people and monsters overtime if she sees them often. She is also scared of letting go of people or monsters she cares about.

Motivation

After her abandonment, Mettaton just wants to find someone who truly cares about them and who'll be there for them when they need it most.

Relations

Blook - Being cousins, he used to be her closest friend before abandoning her and jumpstarting the social and abandonment issues she has

Asgore - Asgore doesn't like Mettaton as she stalked all of the fallen children, attacking her when she gets to close to them unknowing of the problems she has

Chara (Pacifist) - In the Pacifist timeline, Mettaton see's your kindness towards monsters and grows attached to you. If you don't help her with her issues before she tethers to your soul (at the start of Waterfall), she will be stuck with you for the rest of your journey

Papyrus - She has only seen him a few times, but fell in love with him at first site. She avoids talking to him however, due to a fear of rejection.
