The Evergreen development team has just finished a miniature case study, giving copies of unfilled Popgoes Pizzeria colouring pages to five family friends (aged 3, 5, 6, 8 and 12) to find out how they choose to colour them in. We did this because we're currently adding a load of colouring pages in the new version of the Art Room, and wanted to make sure that the coloured-in pages felt authentic!
And the results are adorable. It's really interesting to see how young kids decide to colour in these characters, especially when they are characters they haven't seen before. One kid thought that Blake was a female cat, and decided to give him a purple and grey colour scheme, and another decided to give Stone a patchwork design!
This was a load of fun. And though we are mostly just using these photos as a reference so that we can make loads more on our own, we might add the originals in the Extras since they're so cute.
