Changes:
Fire's regeneration rate halved. Temperature increases 1 degree 5 times per second, down from ten times per second.
Rain damage increased to 48, up from 40.
Number of rain drops increases much faster, and the cap increases more frequently.
Raindrops are faster and new drops have faster movement every wave.
Score (rain drops blocked) is now tracked on-screen blow the Temperature instead of in the game window title.
Current "Wave" is shown below the score so the player can see how far they are.
Win condition: Survive the storm long enough and the Sun will shine rays upon you. Send your umbrella into the light to continue to the next level.
Planned additions in later updates:
Hazards: Lightning bolts which can damage the umbrella if you're not careful, heal the flame in an emergency, or even create lots of steam if it hits a puddle, potentially backfiring on you with a burst of fast-moving water.
Power-ups: Ways to influence the storm or boost your Score.
Upgrades (MAYBE): Permanent changes you can disable which can help in trickier late-game weather. Hydrogen and Oxygen make great fuel, after all...
A Note on damage balance:
I actually intended to nerf the Flame's health in this upcoming update (so I could reduce the water damage to 32, the melting point of water in Fahrenheit, and not be directly making the game easier) but in some quick cursory googling, it turns out the flame's color indicates it should actually be hotter than 1000 degrees *in Celsius,* which is nearly 2000 Fahrenheit, with F being the intended unit for the game as I don't live in Europe. Instead, I'm tossing real numbers out the window, leaving the HP at 1000, not specifying a unit ever in-game (instead of updating the temperature to name a unit), and focusing on making the water damage just feel more balanced mechanically.
